WW Online -- Since February
Hi Tonya,
I've been a member of WW Online since February -- I've been to all sorts of programs, including WW in person, and this is the first time I've stuck with something so long and I actually feel like I'm learning. The best part of the online version for me is the journal. You can look up foods or calculate their values, and then keep track of what you're eating/how many points you have left for the day. Although I usually go over on my points, I am learning what foods just aren't worth it for me (given the amount of points they use up and how little I'm left with after I've eaten them) and which ones I need to save up for (usually the same items -- those that aren't worth it are often things I actually do want, so I'll try to save up/compensate for the high values).
Anyway, they have good recipes, good forums (all different topic areas), the journal, and a weigh-in feature that helps keep me honest like the journal does. There are many other options that I haven't even used -- like menu planning, for instance. If you're not into groups or can't get to a group, this is definitely a better option than not doing anything at all. And the people on the boards seem to really support one another (I don't often post, but I read through the postings and get some help/motivation like that when I need it).
Hope that helps some -- feel free to write back with any specific questions you might have. Oh -- and I've also found that my new digital scale that goes down to a .2 accuracy has been very nice to have with the WW online -- because even if I've only lost .2 it's still a loss and it's nice to see in the online weight tracking section -- there are charts and tables of info there for you. With my old scale, it was hard to tell a loss unless it was .5 or a full pound.
