Default Cleaning Day for me!!

Good Morning Everyone
Hope everyone is doing ok. Kinda cool here. But suppose to have some sun today. That will be nice. I hate it when it is cloudy. Just makes everything seem so gloomy.
Well went to town yesterday. Took back a hat my parents had got hubby. It didnt fit. And of course they didnt have anymore. So just got the money back. Was going to take my stuff back. But sister still has the reciepts. So have to wait until I get them off her. After we came back from town. Went to my Mom and Dads for a little bit. Then came home. And went to some friends that we hadnt got to see at Christmas and exchanged gifts with them. They got me some pumpkin meledy candles. Smell like pumpkin pie. And then a little teddy bear candle holder and some little teddy bear figurines that match. They are so cute. Wish they wasnt Christmas bears though. Wont be able to use them until next year.
Well I am going to try and get some cleaning done today. Need to do the dishes. Was lazy last night and didnt do them. Then I need to wash clothes, dust, run sweeper. All the good stuff.
Does everyone have big plans for New Years Eve? We are staying home. Son got some movies for Christmas. We are going to watch those and have popcorn. I just dont really like to be out on the roads for new years. Then I think on New years day we are going to go to hubby's sister. I really dont want to go. But you know how that goes.
Oh my didnt mean to write a book. Better let you ladies go. Do need to get started on the house work though.
Am thinking of all you ladies. Hoping you have the best new year ever.
A TOPS PAL

Good morning everyone.
Sounds like you are busy. It is noon and I haven't done much. But it is time to get busy. I have some laundry to do and need to pick up and put away things that are just left out!!! Used to think my kids were the messy ones, but they haven't lived here in years. Maybe someone comes in at night and messes up? ha

Hope you are all doing well today. I did so good yesterday that it is scarey. I WILL DO IT AGAIN TODAY! I am posting my menu each day in my journal. Do you all still have a page for that? I haven't been on in a while, and haven't noticed. Does that help you?

Well, need to get busy...have a good day.

Love to all,
Wanda

Marlene,

That is great that you have been counting your calories through the holiday season. That is real determination. You are doing great. Do you like tops now that you have joined? I am sure it is helping you a lot. Did you have a great christmas?

Coco,

Sounds like you got some neat things from your friends. Glad you enjoyed your holiday and I am glad you are back as well. We will have to start meeting again on the instant messenger to chat. Miss chatting with you. You will get refocused after the holidays. We all will. Holidays are the hardest time. A new year is almost upon us and we will all take advantage of the fresh start.

Wanda,

I know you can do it for another day. It isn't scary it means you are putting in the effort needed to get to your goal. You can do this and we are all behind you. Great job for staying on plan yesterday.

As for me I am joining Coco and Marlene on New Years Eve. We stay home as well. I would love to go to a party at one of the hotels that they have and spend the night so you don't have to worry about driving but that will never happen. Stores were all out of my orange flavored hooch I drink. But the beverage center got some more in because of requests I guess. They stopped carrying it. So I got 2 6 packs which will last me a very long time. The last time I had a 6 pack it lasted almost 2 months. I am not a big drinker.LOL But I like the hooch.

We also had a nice christmas. Santa was good to me also. But there wasn't much under our tree this year. It was a slim christmas but megan didn't care she was just as happy with what she got even though it wasn't much. And when she got up she said mom it is jesus's birthday. I said yes it is. She included that in her prayer just before dinner. That was important to me that she know the real meaning of christmas.
Christmas day we were hit with a huge snow storm. I guess the total came in at 26 inches in all. My husband is just finishing plowing our driveway today and making a huge slide for megan to go sleigh riding on in her new sled. It sure was a great year to get that for her.LOL I did some shoveling yesterday here with my dad. He used the snowblower and I had to knock down the drift for him because it was like 4 feet tall. Way over the snowblower. We had to make a path to the dog house and the garbage barrels. Our poor dog had to spend 2 nights in the garage because her house was snowed in. We had to go get her christmas night the snow was up over the top of her house. There was just a little space outside her house to get out. The drifts were all around it.LOL So she spent last night back in her house and was glad.
We are going tubing on monday can't wait. We had so much fun last year when megan and I went it should be just as fun this year to.
Haven't heard from anyone on my ad for babysitting yet. But it just went in the paper yesterday so I will see what happens. It will run for 2 more weeks. It is a weekly paper. I hope I get some kids from it soon. I need the money.

Well nothing else going on here. You all take care.

Summer,

I hope the knee is doing better and the chiropracter can help you. Let me know what happens.

Penny,

How are you feeling girl. Kinda worried about that little one of yours. I am saying prayers for her/him. Hope you had a great christmas with the boys.

Christie,

Did you have fun at your party last night? Sure sounds like you had a great day. Glad the money came through for you. But you knew it would didn't you?LOL You have faith.

Eleni,

How is the exercising going? Do you like your new tapes you got? How did you do over christmas did you have a good christmas to?

I am out of here for now. I will check back in again. Glad to see the boards are picking up again.

Looking forward to the new year and a fresh start myself.

Sherri

Hi,
I have been counting my calories durring the holidays also. Except for Christmas. I allowed myself a splurge. I stuffed cornish hens and they were so good. My scale says I am down another 2 pounds so I am happy with that.

I made a lot of food that I could eat and that helped. On Christmas night I brought a fat free spinich dip, a fat free carrot and raisen salad. And I took sugar free cranberry jello and mixed it with a large package of strawberries and rasberries and then put cool whip on the top. It was so good. So I survived anyway.

I also went to the Keebler.com web site. They have all kinds of low fat pie recipies. I made the key lime pie. It was a big hit. I highly recommend it. Only 3 and 1/2 grams of fat in a slice.

Well, happy new year everyone. We are expecting snow and rain. Its so damp and chilly.

Nancy

Well, here I am again. I really do need support, I have a problem with night time eating! I have done well today, but now that I'm not busy, I feel the munchies. What do you do to counter that?

Nancy, thanks for the keebler.com address. I plan to check it out. I have some low fat/low sugar recipes that are really good. I will post them when I have more time.

We plan to stay in for new years eve also. That is our anniversay, but we usually have friends over or go to friends house. I don't like to be out on the road in all the traffic. We have some friends that we have shared new years eve with for years. They will come over, as will our neighbor's from across the street. I plan to serve low calories goodies. None of us are big drinkers, but I love Baileys Irish Creme and I bought some of that. And my friends son gave me some Amarula for Christmas. NO CALORIES THERE!!!

I have a problem getting exercise in. Any suggestions?

My chapter hasn't weighed in since before Christmas and won't this week because of the holiday. I really need to face those scales.

I hope everyone has had a good day.

TOPS Love...Wanda
