Default Glad to find somewhere I can get some support

Hi,

I joined this forum yesterday, and can I just say how glad I am to have found this site! I have been dieting since January 1st and have so far lost only 2lbs despite dieting and exercising. I have to admit I'm struggling to do this on my own (fella and family not really supportive) and so need some support to help me resist temptations and stay on track!

Feel like lifes getting in the way a little bit. I leave my house at 5:30am and don't get home til about 6pm. By that time all I want to do is cook tea and watch tv. The last thing I feel like doing is preparing a healthy meal, exercising and organising clothes and lunch for the next day. Just need someone to tell me to get off my bum and put what I need to do before what I feel like doing right now!!

Your goal stories are so lovely to read and have definitely made me feel like carrying on despite these setbacks. Hopefully in a few months time I'll be able to post my very own goal or mini goal story!!

All the best to you all

Jess

Good luck, Jess! Can you prep healthy meals on the weekend and then you have a ready selection to take with you for good lunches and ready-made dinners? When you have the desire to get healthy, sometimes it doesn't matter what those around you are doing, you can steam right ahead and do what you know you need to do. They'll probably join in down the line, if they realize that they cannot sabotage you

Make a listing of WHY you want to lose weight. Why is it important for you to do so. Refer to that list often to help you stay focused. Good luck!

Welcome Jess I agree that making a large batch of re-heatable meals when you have a few free hours is a great way to save time at night. I don't get home until 7pm and by that time, I'm too tired to do anything fabulous. But you've found the right place! Good luck with your journey, I know you'll do amazingly well!
