I joined curves when they first started popping up everywhere. I joined for about six months and I liked it, but for me it wasn't very effective. I think it was because I was already in shape though, weighed 130 pounds, and was toned from pilates, so it wasn't vigorous enough for me to have any additional results. I would say if you aren't already in top shape or do any form of strenuous exercise, you will probably be happy with it. The environment was welcoming, friendly, and noncompetitive.
