Angry I am going to dig in and get these last 10 off!!!!!!

These last 10lbs are so stubborn!!! I am so close to getting to goal and my vanity goal of 158lbs but they are stubborn!

I have been increasing my exercise while keeping my calories the same as it was when I started in May. I had gone to a nutritionist and he showed me what the proper portion sizes are. He showed me how to eat 1200 calories by using proper portion sizes.

Since May I have lost 30lbs using his guidelines (well 28lbs if you count the 2lb gain since last week). I have recently incorporated running and weight training into my program and have seen inches lost but the scale is stuck!! I got depressed a little but then I realized that this is a test - a test to see if I am going to go back to my old ways and end up gaining weight again or to see if I am going to dig in and get the stubborn pounds off. I choose the latter!! I want my ticker to say 40lbs lost!!!

At lunch time today I am going to get a food scale and I am going to start measuring and weighing. I got away without doing it for 6 months but it's time to try something new and see if it will work.

Wish me luck!

That works out to about 4 pounds a month you've lost if you average it out. That's pretty good. I'd literally go months without a pound lost and I'd get lucky if it was one inch in that time period. My weight loss has always been funny that way though. I'll lose weight and inches combined very rapidly over a short period of time (or so it seems in comparision) then stall, for a very long period of time, and I mean LONG. I'm not sure if maybe that could be happening to you now? Just a thought.........

I like that way of thinking that it's because your body is seeing just how stubborn you are. Mine is definitely in cohoots with yours.

I truly wasn't expecting "the last 10" to be the last 10 just prior to normal. I really thought getting to normal weight would be easy. It is anything but. I'm going on two months and counting with about 12 still to go. And that's not including my vanity pounds either.

I got my scale! And I weighed and measured everything for all my meals for today up until afternoon snack. I am aiming for 1400 calories or less per day. Based on my meal plan for today so far (up until afternoon snack), my meals will come in at 864 calories.

Crossing my fingers this will work!!

I'm also digging in. I've gained a few recently and I'm also thinking about challenging myself to get a little leaner than I was before. So, I've got 10 to lose as well.

How are you, Slim? Anything working yet?

I think mine's working, but I had quite a blip this morning, from 157.6 up to 159 this morning. I know that doesn't sound like much but it is when you've been stuck at 159/160 for two months and finally thought you were making progress. I still think I am. I have TOM and muscle water-weight retention going on, I have no doubt.

Can you head back to the nutritionist for a check-in since you are in quite a different situation now? He may have some good additional information for you and be able to adjust your plan.
