The scars are a big problem, and I am due some reconstructive surgery because of the look, the effect on clothing and the fact the scar tissue splits really easily. The date is meant to be January but since I've not had a date through yet it's looking like it may not be. I have a scar both above and below my tummy button and if I wear high cut briefs they roll into the smallest part of my body which is about 1.5" above the navel, if I wear them lower they roll into the bottom scar.
It's like I need a bra wire up the side! I am trying to wear my underwear on the largest part of a pear shape, and the material just looks for somewhere small to skate into. The lower scar is below the pubic line, the upper one is so high the material that's meant to cover your backside it just straight up in a V shape.
Might give it a try to some synthetics, I've always worn cotton, and can always add some of that non-skid tape to the inside to stop my pants rubbing them off. Shame you have to get out of your underwear several times a day or I'd just tape them on with fashion tape!
Amber, I have been tempted by men's, my husband's briefs look a great shape, there is much more material in the buttocks than there is in the ladies' shape, if you hold them up after the laundry the back is still shaped like buttocks, mine are flat. Sadly his also have a seam right up the front, but will have a search around. I probably wear them too big too, I just find it challenging to think that something is digging in my fleshy parts and creating a bulge above and below, so I let them lay over the top of my wobbly bits, but they
are too big. Smaller doesn't help, though, smaller rolls up or down. Perhaps I should try bloomers!
Edited to add: Well here we go, here's everything that's wrong with ladies' underwear, this was a very common model shot from a specialist lingerie site, this is actually the
designed and desired cut of their panties! Of course the models can stand mostly still and have the edges stuck down if required, and will adjust their wedgie if required (and often have a nude thong on underneath if it's expensive undies as they will have to give them back) but seriously, this is what they are thinking a real woman can move about in???!! Is it just me that's looking for my underwear to reach the line at the very bottom of the buttocks? You know, the crease line? I don't have a magic bum which is going to suspend a line across it like that, that's a wedgie in training right there.
Sick of living in wedgie-land
I've tried low ones, high ones, shorts ones, ones you could tuck into your bra, nothing seems to do the job. They are fine when I have nothing over the top, but put on some pants and they catch the edge of the underwear and rub it straight into wedgie-land. I know I generally wear them too big, but the correct size rolls down on my caesarean scar.
