Default Newbie Alert LOL!

Happy November everyone!! I posted a bio already but thought I'd stop to officially say hello to you all

My name is Pattie, and I will turn 51 (OMG) in a few weeks. FIFTY years of carrying around this JUNK - geez!!!

My highest weight was about 4 yrs ago and that was at 356. I started doing WW and clearly, have had a bumpy ride because today at 308 I've gained back 40 lbs. Before I ADD on the other 40 I'm throwin up a hand to shout out - help!!! I'm sinking!

Ya know, I can't figure out how I lost 90 lbs (well ok - I KNOW how) but my head has never been able to get back to that place, ya know? So I keep trying - whats that thing they say about insanity being something you repeat over and over expecting different results? I digress...

I don't have kids but do have dogs that I adore and want to be around for my pups and family so this weight HAS TO GO. My ultimate goal is to be as close to 200 as I can and honestly, I've lost 90 before so what gives?

Anyway - I've decided that I can't do this alone and I don't have many "fatties" that would understand that losing 90 lbs may seem easy but clearly isn't so here I am...on these boards hoping to make some friends who can relate to what I'm going thru.

I'm willing to read whatever I need to that will help me refocus and I'm willing to slap on the pedometer and get movin so - I need help with lotsa stuff and scour these boards often for meal ideas (I'm single), motivation, etc.

Anyway, in a nutshell thats kinda where I am - and I hope that someplace out here there is another "me" who can relate to some of these ramblings....

Welcome!

The good news is that you've done this before so you know what works for you and what you need to do - you just need to make doing that your priority! Personally I'm a calorie (and somewhat carb) counter because that seems to work for me. Play around and see what works for you...find healthy foods you like and incorporate them into your daily diet.

If it all seems too overwhelming then start with some small changes...they can add up over time and lead to larger changes later!

I agree with Sunshine! Welcome to 3FC and remember there are always readers who will cheer you on, sympathize with you, listen to you whine, congratulate you and so on. Someone out here has experienced exactly what you are going through.

Take one step at a time & remember you can do it!

Default Ugh

Ya know I've been posting on this board for like 8 years and I'm STILL struggling with this problem. I often ask myself if I will ever live the life I deserve or if I'll just keep self-destructing by eating myself sick?
