Default Stand Still.

Ok. I'm at a complete standstill. I know it's because I haven't been eating near my calories. I'm just petrified that as soon as I up my calories (right now 1000) to what they normally should be (1500-1800) I'm going to gain all the weight I've lost back..instead of losing. Advice is greatly needed.

perhaps slowly add more. how about this week you do 1100-1150, next week do 1200-1250, the following week do 1300-1400, and the last week do 1500. i did a special low carb super low cal thing for two weeks and dropped a bunch of weight, and slowly adding calories and carbs back on, kept the weight off and kept me losing.

or instead of slowly adding more you can just start eating the right range and work out longer/harder. if your doing something for 30 minutes each day, up it to one hour. or if you cant afford more time just do it harder, if you walk for 30 minutes try jog and walk intervals and throw in some weights. i would suggest this way more than my first suggestions because working out harder or in a different way will really help the pounds come off.

I would agree with the slowly adding more. You'll physically and mentally probably adjust easier to a small increase and probably won't notice that you're eating more because I know if it were me I would panic after a couple of days of eating 1500-1800 and go back to eating 1000.

I agree with the other ladies - you should slowly up your calories to at least 1200. I know you're afraid of gaining by eating those additional calories, but think of it this way...you're depriving yourself of those additional 200-500 calories for nothing. That low caloric intake is doing nothing for you. It might actually be harming your progress because your body could be burning muscle instead of fat (starvation mode)...yikes!

1200-1500 calories is a great range! Eating healthy snacks (such as yogurt and fruit) to up your daily caloric intake might make the transition easier because you know you're consuming high-quality calories. On days when I have issues eating all of my calories, whether it's because I didn't have enough time to eat all of my meals or because I just wasn't very hungry that day, I'll just have a smoothie made with low-fat yogurt and fruit!

BTW, congrats on your weight loss so far!
