Default 300+ Monthly Wellness Goals Challenge-OCTOBER

Here's how it works: Everyone of us has wellness goals. Break those goals up into small, achievable steps and challenge yourself to meet your goals by the end of the month. They can be a number of pounds lost, please keep it reasonable and safe, dietary goals, goals to change your mindset, etc. There is already a 300+ Monthly Exercise Goal so we won't do exercise goals here.

Let's all support and encourage each other on this life long journey. Don't get discouraged if you don't meet your goal,just keep on challenging yourself.

You can join at any time.

Remember goals should be...
■S = Specific
■M = Measurable

Having a hard time coming up with goals this month. I'm doing WW so I am going to focus on the Good Health Guidelines.
~At least 64 oz of water everyday
~2 good oils (I'm going to strive for 4 days/week)
~Stay within my points 4 days/week (haven't done so hot on this one for awhile)
~Lose 5 pounds- start weight 293.2

I lost a pound this past week. YEAH! My current weight is 296.6. My goal is to be at 289 by Halloween! Man is this a slow crawl downwards or what!?! I'm happy the scale is moving in the right direction and I am learning to be content where I am. :-) Hope you are all doing well!

My goals for the month:
- drink 80-112 oz of water a day
- stay within calorie range (1600-1800) every day!
- hit 280 lbs (starting the month at 287)
- make at least one big meal a week that will translate into 2-4 leftover meals
- eat more protein (aim for 20% of daily calories)
- Starbucks no more than twice a week (drinks to be under 200 calories)
- find time for fitness, whether walking, workout video, or gym (3x/week)

Welcome back tw! It is a slow crawl but I choose to believe the studies that support slow weight loss lasting longer because honest to God this better be the last time I have seen the 300's and hopefully October 2010 and the last time either of us sees the 290's

Okay I'll join! October is such a hard time! All that fresh candy in the supermarket! Apple Cider! Pumpkin Pie! Pumpkin Rolls!

So my goals for this month will be as follows:

1. NO HALLOWEEN CANDY! Not gonna buy it. Not gonna eat it.
2. Lose 6 pounds by November 1st. That will put me at 247.
3. Miss NO workouts, even though my work schedule is crazy this month!

Thanks goodnuff. I know it is healthy to loose at the rate I am and actually I am averaging almost 2 pounds a week (lost 29.6 pounds in 15 weeks) and that is GREAT! I just wish I could drop like 25 pounds in a week and then slow down again to 1-2 pounds. I KNOW IT IS NOT REALISTIC, it is just just I would like in my childish impatient moments. :-)

Me too tw I just want to be under 290 so bad because that will be the least I've weighed in at least 3 years but probably coser to 6 years. 25 in a week would be way too awesome, lol. You are doing fabulous,keep it up!

Hope everyone is having a good week and making progress towards the goals they set!

So far so good over here:

Halloween candy eaten: 0 pieces.
Workouts missed: 0!
Pounds lost: 1 this week!
