Default Need Swift Kick in the Butt

Well, I've been very unmotivated and hovering between 191.5 - 189.5 for awhile now. But in exactly 4 weeks I'm going to Italy [this is a surprise vacation] for ten days ... 4 weeks after that one of my good friends is coming to visit me for a week, and I want to look as amazing as possible for both events. I'd love to be down a total of 25lbs over those two months.

I'm SO close to my goal so I'm thinking I need to change it up a bit. Maybe you ladies can give me some suggestions on what you've done when you needed a kick in the butt to push yourself harder than you're working now.

It's sink or swim time.

Trust me, while you're in Italy, you'll be walking your rear off - and not even realize all the activity you'll be getting. Congrats on that - I LOVE it there So do what you can before then, work up to walking as much as you can before that, and then thoroughly enjoy a reasonable treat each day while there - be it a small gelato, single piece of chocolate, a cioccolata to start the morning, whatever. ENJOY ... then when you get back and see exactly HOW GREAT you did by eating wholesome food, getting great activity and enjoying an indulgence that you savored, you'll be pumped to keep it up for your friend's visit!

Not a 20-something, but just wanted to pop in and say ENJOY your trip!

I love it there too. I'm really excited to get to go to my favorite city in the world with my best friend who hasn't been before. Italy is actually the reason I was able to lose as much weight as I did. When I went there last year I saw the way they ate and changed EVERYTHING about my diet.

Thanks! I will certainly enjoy the trip. We're on a very tight budget so I'm not worried about the food I'll be eating, I'll hardly be able to afford anything at all and then all that walking.

I'm sooo stoked.

OMG I just started the P90X after watching my girlfriend do it for three weeks (she's lost 10 lbs in that time). She doesn't even follow the diet, she does eat healthy, but she just does the workouts. It's a lot of commitment- 1 to 1.5 hours a day- but she looks FABULOUS! You might want to check it out to shake things up- I did my first workout yesterday and burned 500 calories in one hour. I wasn't even able to complete all the steps- I think if I did all of it (they say you build up- no one can do it all the first time) I'd burn at least 800 calories.
