For the last 4 weeks my weight loss has been 5 lbs, 3 lbs, 3 lbs, 4 lbs. Which sounds great but is too much too fast as far as I'm concerned. Prior to that I'd been loosing a nice 1-2 lbs a week for about 2 months.
My daily caloric intake average last month (oh how I love cool aps for my phone that tell me these things) was 1,552, I have my max for calories set at 1,650 right now. So, I did come in under but not by much and I think that's a decent amount of calories to consume each day! I'm not going hungry that's for sure and on days when I'm hungry I eat more, other days I eat less. I like the calorie cycling concept and stick to an up and down pattern.
This past week I made a point of hitting close to my max RDI every day
(did good Mon & Tues, not as good Wed. & Thurs but higher than usual). Certainly consumed more than I had the previous couple weeks so I figured today, my weigh day, would show a smaller loss. Nope. I lost 4 lbs this week!?! Eat more, loose more? What alternate universe did I just stumble into?
So what gives? Is this ok? I know I'm still quite heavy and heavier people can afford to loose faster. I'm also working out pretty hard 5 days a week. I'm not loosing muscle, if anything thanks to 3 weeks of jogging and more intense weight/resistance training my muscles are looking awesome! I'm eating really good, lots of whole home grown foods (I have a farm complete with chickens, my own milk cow, raise our own pasture beef, etc) and organics.
I'm at the lowest weight I've been in 13 years (since my first kid)! Usually I start to loose and then I get pregnant again... x4 kids! LOL!! We're not really planning a 5th so I've never hit this point with my working out, calorie counting and weight loss before. I'm really excited but I'm a little worried about how fast the weight is coming off. I know it'll probably slow down at some point and then I'll kick myself for ever whining about loosing to much to fast.
