Default And Then She Said.....

Honestly, people and their comments!

"Ewww! That doesn't even go together." (Referring to my cottage cheese w/ sliced banana.) Says the woman I work with who ate Bean w/ Bacon soup (in a can) for BREAKFAST and Spaghetti-Os for lunch.....

She made this comment after telling me I really didn't need to lose any more weight. (People used to mistake us for the other from behind.....not anymore.)

I just smiled.

Her insecurity is causing her to regress to junior high school. I mean, she's even talking like an over-dramatic adolescent. (When I read that comment & hear the "ewww" in my head, I can see a 14-year-old wrinkling her nose in the lunchroom.) And you know why she's insecure. No one's mistaking her bigger butt for yours anymore.

Just keep enjoying your newly discovered healthy food combinations.

Honestly, some people need a blinking sign above their head that says "Think first and THEN speak!"

I think nans and cottage cheese sound great!!

I think this person has a problem with my weight loss. She had weight loss surgery a few years ago that wasn't much of a success (not sure why) and I think she has some emotional issues. I'm doing what is best for me and that is all the matters.

Another good example as to why I follow Miss Manner's advice on NOT commenting on other folks' food choices. Not only can it come across as incredibly rude but also may make you look like you don't get out much. Nanners and cottage cheese sound pretty good to me.

This reminds me of a woman I met at a fair a few days ago. I was being fitted for a corset, and we were discussing weight loss. Her only comment? "Enjoy the loss while you can. Everyone gains it all back."

People enjoy projecting (protecting? :P) insecurities. Maybe if she could learn to like foods such as cottage cheese and bananas, she wouldn't be in such a predicament...

I don't care much for banana with cottage cheese either, but how rude. I'd hate to see what she'd think of some of the stuff I eat!

Everybody else is right, she's probably just jealous.

Maybe she didn't mean anything and she was just talking. Everyone has food likes and dislikes. She might have thought it was okay to say that and did not mean to be rude.

My lunches are totally random. In my lunch bag today is the following:

Snack: yogurt, blackberries, & walnuts
*OK, so these actually *do* go together, for once.
**Oh my god, does anyone know how small an actual serving of nuts is?! I measured 28g on my scale this morning... tiny!

Lunch:
Turkey chili
Wasa cracker
blueberries
sugar snap peas

Snack:
Cottage cheese
Hummus
bell peppers

And, for dinner, I'm having 2 scrambled eggs and coleslaw.

I love cottage cheese and I love fruit but the idea of them together sounds icky to me lol I have never tried it though.

I think people are just different and some just have different ideas of what is appropriate.

If I was friendly with someone I would probably say ewww to something they were eating lol But in a silly way not meant as offensive at all.

But bean and bacon soup for breakfast that is weird lol
