Default Question about 5k walk.

My town is having a 5k walk, 5k run, and a 10k run. I never really thought about it before, but my plan was to do the 5k walk and run at certain points throughout. Now I'm filling out my sign up papers and I don't know if I should circle 5k run or 5k walk. I will be mostly walking with some running, as this is my first 5k. Is that allowed during a 5k walk or will I be disqualified?

Most 5K's have the walkers go right after the runners...people generally line up pretty much to how fast they will start if it isn't a huge race....

just sign up for the run and start at the back ahead of the walkers....

after a mile or so the back of the pack is pretty much mixed anyway...

you will not be disqualified!

have a great time and DO IT!!

Don't change your mind....

this could be the start of amazing things for you!

Good luck!

Definitely sign up for the run... Like EZ said they will not disqualify you and after a while everyone gets mixed up anyways... Sounds like fun
