Just want to do a quick post in here to say Let's Rock this challange Blue Team. I know you can all do this and it will be a great challange for the summer. Remember to post as many times as you are able as the more you post the more you will get out of the challange.

For your information - Each week starting May 31st we will have many ways for you to keep yourself on track and accountable. We will have a blue team nutrition journal where you can keep track of your daily food. We will also have an exercise journal so you can track your daily exercise. Of course we will have the blue team chat thread so we can chat all week long. Please feel free to participate as much as you want. You don't have to participate in the nutrition or exercise journal unless you want to use it as a tool to keep on plan. You do have to particpate in the team chat at least once a week in order to stay eligible for the biggest loser title and you have to weigh in once a week (except your two freebies). If you use both freebies, and still don't weigh in you will be eliminated from the challenge. There will also be a weekly exercise challenge for both teams to participant in if you choose to do so. There are many options here to help you with your weight loss and to help keep you on track. Good luck to everyone!! (Thanks to shan84 I did a copy paste to share this information with all of you.)

Hi Blue Team. Sorry I've been MIA but I just got back from my daughter's in Philly and have been playing catch up with everything this past week.

Anyway, I missed out on the "Getting to Know You" thread so I will post my info here. My name is Laurie, I'm 54 years old, mom of 2 and grandma of 5. I'm getting married in October which will bring the grandkid count up to 11.

I'm doing calorie counting and trying to keep each meal of the day at 400 calories and then have 2-3 snacks totaling another 300 calories for 1500 calories a day. I've been really lax on the exercise front so am going to try to work my way up to exercising 3-4 times per week be it walking, bicycling, eliptical or videos.

I was on the blue team last time but dropped out due to lack of focus. I'm going to try my best to finish this challenge and drop some of this weight.

Anyway, sorry this was so long. Just wanted to introduce myself to you all. Glad this challenge has started and am looking forward to getting to know all of you. Have a good evening.

Hi, just got back from vacation and missed the getting to know you thread. For the last year I have maintained my weight so now I hope to lower it. My nutrition plan is to 'eat clean'. A bit less sure on a fitness plan. I just bought a pedometer and plan on walking 10,000 steps a day for the first week. I hope to get more and more intersted in exercising as the weeks go by. Also hope to get ideas from all of you! Good luck to everyone.

I'm not sure if I'll use the nutritional journal or the excercise logger thing, but I'll be sure to post here
Looking forward to a great week!

Our family Memorial Day gathering was yesterday, so I have that behind me and can concentrate on being healthy today -- mostly yardwork and cooking.

shan84 and Bigmid: thanks for getting us started!

chiquita623: glad to "meet" you and yay for second chances.

babygrant: I'm excited, too! This is my first BL challenge and I can't wait to see how it goes.

grneyegrl: eating clean and 10,000 steps a day is a great way to get started!

JessicaDawn: I'm looking forward to a great week

Morning Blue Team it's time to get reved up to do this. I need some reving as I just got up and am ready for a nap already. I really need to see the sun again soon so I feel more energized. I have so much to do in the next couple days to get ready to go on holidays. I think I should have taken an extra day off of work....may look into that today.

chiquita623 - Welcome back to the blue team I hope you had a good time at your daughters. Getting married in October that's exciting!!!!

babygrant - I'm excited for this challange too.

grneyegrl - Welcome to the challange your plan of eating clean is a good one and so is your plan of 10,000 steps a day that is a very good way to get started.

JessicaDawn - the nutritional and exercise journals are just an added tool so no problem if no one wants to use all of them. Posting and keeping motivated is the most important tool of them all.

gardenerjoy - Yeah for being healthy.

Well off to work I hope everyone has a great day.

morning all,
we've been trying to get out as much as possible this weekend and i'm hoping to get caught up today. i;ve been going back and forth between intuitive eating and calorie counting. i've decided that atleast for as long as i'm in the challenge...maybe longer i will count calories. also, joined the ymca this weekend and will possibly be entering a challenge there as well. for signing up for the challenge i get 10 group exercise glasses, a session with personal trainer and other group stuff.

anyways, i am starting tommorrow since we are cooking out today and i didn't realize how close the 6th was (oops). hope to see you all around

Good morning blue team! I am so happy that the challenge is starting today.
I am going to start my workout in a few minutes, and then prep some food for the rest of the week. I also bought Just Dance for my Wii, so I am looking forward to giving it a try tonight. I need to find ways to be more active so I hope it will help.

Shan84 and Bigmid, thank you for everything you've done getting this challenge started.

Laurie, congratulations on your upcoming wedding. How exciting!

Grneyegrl, hope you had a good vacation. Your plan sounds great!

Shelia, you got some great perks for signing up for the challenge at the YMCA. Hope you enjoy it there.

to Selina, Mercy, gardenerjoy, JessicaDawn, babygrant

Have a wonderful day everyone

Just wanted to pop in and say hello. Just got home from being in Texas about 90 min ago. I'm so excited this challenge has started!!! Let me introduce myself, I'm Cathy mom of 2 boys ages 11 and 14, married, I eat lower carb, and will probably be counting calories this challenge. Exercise wise I mostly do Leslie Sansone walking dvds. I have just about all of them! lol.
Well better go unpack and get some laundry done. Have a great rest of the holiday!!! Talk to ya soon.

Hey Blue-sers,
Glad this challenge has begun, I already have a swoosh from working outside in the yard and drinking lots of water. So hopefully, I'll hold onto this 2 lb loss for the week. Going to try to be more involved in the nutrition and exercise postings as I need a lot of accountability. Still have a Memorial Day celebration coming - putting on my calorie glasses now! Drink water, drink water, drink water. I with those who need more sunshine . . . can't wait!!!

So DH made me a deal tonight. I have been trying...unsuccessfully to lose weight for the past 3 years and I really really want him to quit smoking. So he told me when I reach 20 pounds lost he will quit. He knows how angry I would be if he didn't go through with it and I know he wants to quit as well.
