Exclamation HELP! Need Answer Quickly!!

Hi, I hope someone can help me! I have to make cookies for a party tonight, and I just realized I only have Bread Flour. Does anyone know if I can use bread flour for oatmeal chocolate chip cookies?? Do I use more or less, or have to add something else??

Thanks!!

Purists will say not to, but I say go ahead and use what you've got around the house and in the same amount as the recipe calls for. Bread flour contains more gluten, which provides extra elasticity and a better-textured bread. The only thing I probably wouldn't use bread flour for is in making pastry, where you wouldn't really want a lot of elasticity. But then again, if that's all I had in the house...
