Default What's for lunch?!!

One of my son's classmates grandmothers (we all call her Obachan - Grandma in Japanese) brought me a whole bowl of strawberries and greens from her garden and some steamed pork buns (nikuman). I made a salad and added pecans and some raspberry vinegarette... BEST LUNCH EVER

What did you have for lunch? I know it's bedtime for most of you .

for lunch, I had two cups of last night's chili. It always better the second day.

However, your lunch sounds fantastic. I'm sorta jealous!

Chili sounds amazing too! I think I'll make some as soon as we have another rainy day . You're so right about it being better the 2nd day!

I had already seasoned and baked chicken breasts then froze them, so I pulled one out at lunch and chopped it up on top of a bed of romaine and grape tomatoes with some cheese and flax seed. Topped it off with some pepper and honey mustard dressing. Yum! It's way past bedtime for me, but thankfully at this point I'll most likely be waking up in time to eat that for lunch again!

I love buns, they're so good. I am also jealous of your lunch!

Where in Japan are you? I spent two years over there, teaching.

Mmm, that sounds delicious!

I'm having a cold oatmeal cookie (not actually a cookie, haha)
It's 1/2 cup uncooked oats, 2 tbsps of peanut butter, 1 tbsp of almond milk, and 1/4 cup raisins, and protein powder if I'm feeling like it (which means another tbsp of milk). Stick it in a ziploc, mash it all up and refrigerate for 2 or so hours at least. It is the same as my hot oats, only cold, and for some reason i absolutely love it!

I always let myself sleep in on Sundays (since the gym opens at 9am, and if I don't go to the gym first thing in the morning, I won't go at all). So Sunday breakfasts/lunches are brunches.

I had 1/2 cup oats with 1/2 tbsp honey, 1/2 tbsp peanutbutter, and cinnamon. A little bit later I had 3 egg whites on a low carb tortilla with salsa, tomato and onion slices, and spinach. In about an hour, I'll have an orange. Kind of breakfast, lunch, and a snack smashed together over a 2 hour period. Then I'll be stuffed until dinner time.

I'm just South of Tokyo in Kanagawa Ayase-Shi. LOVE it here! We're far enough out that I can walk around town without getting hit by a truck and close enough to Yokohama or Tokyo that I can get to them both on the train in under an hour.

Where did you live? I'm thinking of taking on some English students but it's hard with my kids. Sometimes they are not so amusing .

I'm having a low point lunch today.. got weigh in tomorrow...agghhhh!

So a tin of tuna = 2.5 points, an apple = 1 point and 8 almonds = 1 point.

My lunch yesterday was grilled chicken, small salad and bulger rice. yum!

I am also curious about Japan. I am an English teacher living in the middle east looking to move to Japan or somewhere in Europe this fall. How do you like it?

So many good things here. My lunch today is crap - I was in a hurry!

1/2 can of spicy beans w/ low fat hot dog
english muffin w/ sliced chicken breast

I have an orange and some yogurt too. I wish I had a salad or something!
