Talking Turbo Jam Encouragement

Howdy Y'all 20-Somethings!

I just found a thread for Turbo Jams and it encouraged me to go into my DVD stash and pull it out. I haven't done this in probably 2 years! I loved it and I feel so energized right now (compared to 45 minutes ago when I wanted to go lay down and take a nap)

I am so out of shape right now and I didn't even know it! I could not keep up with the moves they were doing, but I kind-of did my own version of it for the entire 20 minutes, dancing and kicking and punching. It's so much fun! I can't wait to do it again tomorrow and hopefully see the results after a couple of weeks. Woohoo! I feel so good today!

I hope y'all are having a great week and keep up the great work girls!

Oh hey! I'm starting Turbo Jam today! I'm starting with the 10 day quick start. Haven't done the workout yet, but am looking forward to it! I'm supposed to do Cardio Party today as per the plan, but am going to do the Burn and Learn instead so I can get the moves down.

Sounds like you had a good time doing it, that makes me even more excited to do the exercise!

I LOOOOVe Turbo Jam! When I started doing it, I was over 200 lbs. I struggled through the first couple of workouts, also. I have since lost over 65lbs and I became certified in Turbo Kick, which is the classroom version of Turbo Jam. Stick with it and you will see results. If you're having any trouble with the moves, make sure to do the "burn and learn" section. I think I did that for a few days before moving onto the other workouts. Way to go!

I just started doing TJ again today! I tried to go use the elliptical at my apartment complex's gym, but we only have one and there was someone on it So I came home and found this DVD, I bought it years ago and used it maybe twice. I did Punch Kick and Jam and feel GREAT! The only problem is I can't find the disc with cardio party and ab jam on it But I loved this one so much I'm thinking of making it a daily thing!!

Amaniesa - congrats on the weight loss!!! How long did it take you to lose it?? And did you just use the TJ videos or mix it in with other stuff?

Good Luck to everyone else starting!!!

After about a year of owning TJ, I finally started using it this week, and I gotta say, I'm loving it!

I'm doing an advanced rotation for the next 30 days, and I'm hoping for some good results. Something that will make a dent in these 70 lbs that have GOT to come off. (I'M SERIOUS THIS TIME!!!!!!!!!)

Anyways, yay! I'm excited for a workout that isn't aggravating my knees.
Yes, I'm 25 and my knees crack-alack and are just generally uncomfortable, most likely to all the squats and lunges I've been doing. But doing TJ low impact has been treating me well, so far!

I hope you enjoy it MentallySkinny! I have been doing it the last 2 days and plan on it again today.

I pretty much have to force myself to get up and do it. I never really feel like it before I get started. But after, it's always worth it. I have never gotten done and said "Gosh, I wish I hadn't done that".

I can already feel it working. Of course I can't see it, but my back, legs, hips, calves, waist, and glutes feel like they've been worked. So, I'm going to keep it up!

Have fun y'all!

I've done it before but I've never been consistant with it. My plan is to do something different every day so i don't get bored. I'm in the gym 2 times a week...Wii....turbo jam...or treadmill at home!

It took me around 18 months to loose the bulk of the weight. When I first started I did TJ pretty much exclusively. I started adding in other workouts as I progressed. Now I do TJ, Jillian's 30 day shred and No More Trouble Zones, yoga, Belly Dancing, and I also run occasionally. I'm signing up for a 6K next month, so I need to amp up my running days.

Ok, just finished my 3rd day of TJ Ab Jams and feel great! I did it this morning and am planning to do it again this afternoon when the kids are napping.

It seemed a little bit easier to do today. I actually finished the entire workout not just making stuff up as I went along! I am pretty uncoordinated, so I have some moments where I fall off track, but for the most part it was much better.

I must say again, it really feels like its working! I really wish I had done this 2 years ago when I bought it. Back then, I think I did it twice in a matter of a week and then just stopped. I'm really excited this time around.

I used to have to literally drag myself to the gym, but I get excited about Turbo Jam... I really think it's going to be something I can stick with!
