Default I have to say...this made my day =D

So I was at work earlier...looking a complete mess (my shirt was 2 sizes too big, my pants were 2 sizes too big, I have to wear a hat and i look horrible with hats...and we have to wear ugly aprons)....

This mother and her probably 18 year old daughter came up to order. They were speaking italian, and were apparently from italy (i asked)....and the girl was the most gorgeous person that I have EVER seen in my life...like to the point where I never would have talked to her if it wasn't my job because gorgeous people....like absolutely stunningly gorgeous people... make me nervous...lol.

ANYWAYS,
The daughter looked at me and told me "You know, You have such a beautiful smile." and the mom then said "well she's a beautiful girl, of course she has a beautiful smile!"

I was blown away.

I mean, I think I'm pretty and all...its not like I have NO self confidence...but to hear that from a complete stranger when I pretty much looked my worst...It was just such a shock. I think I probably blushed a little...and I know I stammered out an awkward thank you....

It definitely made my day. Before that, my day hadn't been too great....but just that one little comment from a stranger made my day so much better.

It definitely made me think, I should say more of those things that I think. When I like someones hair or I think they've got gorgeous eyes, I should just say it. Maybe i can make someone else's day a little better too.

i'm glad i'm not the only one who does this. i dont know why it is, like... because someone is beautiful they're better than i am? spaz much? why yes, yes i am!

you ARE beautiful! and i agree about saying things to people when you think things, nice things like that always seem to go unsaid and sometimes they can make a huge difference

That is so cool. It really does make your day when a stranger tells you you're beautiful.

Sometimes it takes a complete stranger to finally see the obvious!

I know how you feel! I walked into a store once, and I started smiling and waving at this adorable little girl, and her mom just said to me "You know, you just have the most beautiful smile."

That was SIX years ago, and I still haven't forgotten it! Little does that woman know what that one little comment meant to me....

Cass, I think I do it because I feel like if I'm seen around that person or talking to that person, that other people are going to be comparing me to them. That and I get this crazy idea in my head that all beautiful people look down upon the not as beautiful people....and I would generally feel like the beautiful person was judging me, even though I know they probably weren't. Its not that I would never talk to them I guess...more that I would never approach them and start a conversation myself. lol

Awww that was sweet!! I'm glad it made you feel good about yourself! Oh, and yes! You should speak your mind and tell people what you think, you may never know how good you made them feel, well, maybe know you do. You might be the one person that came in their life that made them feel good about themself. Now just think how many comments you will get when you wear clothes that actually fit you! Keep up the good work sweetpea!!!
