Morning everyone!

Wow, it's hard to believe that 2 weeks from today the kids will be back in school and my oldest will begin his senior year! Yikes!

Weekend was busy--managed to wash the car (and now I'm SURE it's going to rain), did some laundry and other things that needed to get done but just keep getting put off. Weekends are a challenge for me with eating. I didn't do all that bad but it could be better. I have to figure a way to get all my water in, this is one area that I need to work on.

Does anyone else want to add a "goal" as something that they want to work on in the next month or so?

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

We had some tremendous storms overnight--actually kept me awake part of the night. Yesterday was really rainy, too and so I couldn't go to the beach (bummer).

A friend came for an overnight visit Saturday night. That was fun visiting with her. I ate too much, but I had saved up for it. Back to serious today--WI is tomorrow.

I can't think of any goals at this moment, Melissa, at least nothing tangible.

I'm making a new recipe I got from WW--Eggplant loaf. It sounds different. I'll let you know how it is.

Hi everyone,

Very low key weekend for me here. DP is in Boulder for the first part of the week, making meal planning sooo much easier .

I have a goal for the next month -- to either remain at the the stagnant weight that I am while travelling across the country three times in the next 2. 5 weeks or to actually lose a lb or two.

Actually, just to journal honestly 5 days a week would be a goal I could aspire too.

Other than that, really bogged down with work, more work than they should be houseguests are coming tomorrow for 2 weeks, three trips to the east coast before labor day and a not 100% healthy dog makes for a kind of whacked out lala.

However, exercising and fresh produce from the garden help.

Hope all is well. Everyone stay dry. Melissa - I just had the car detailed and I am being really careful about it getting dirty again.

Domina- Where in FL do you live?

have a great monday.

lalala,

I live in Melbourne on the Central East Coast of Florida.

Why do you travel east so much? Is that where your job headquarters is?

I never get out to your neck of the woods, although I would like as my DH has relatives there.

I journal every day--if I don't, look out!

domina,

I travel about 8 times a year for work- DC, Cali, AK and other places. Mostly my travel is about pleasure. I am doing two short trips to NYC to see some friends. I have free nights at some swanky hotels to use and what a place to use them. We are also doing our yearly pilgrimage to Maine for lobsters, kayaking and deer flies.

We have no real debt, no two legged dependents and a yen for travel. Its a good match .

I have never been anywhere in FL but the MIA airport and Orlando. I could do with a bit of the tropics right now.

This weekend was real crazy because not only does my son go back to school in a few weeks, we are also moving by Sept. 1. Too much to do and not enough time to do it. It will be so nice in Sept. once everything slows down and I can just sit on my new deck, yes I'll have a deck, and chill out. I think this will be a good move once we are settled in.

lalala, I like to travel also, but don't get to do it as often as I'd like. With a new job, I don't have much vacation.

Myra, I don't envy you with the move coming, but it will be over soon. Where is Monroe, NY?

Monroe is about an hour north of NYC, just north of Northern New Jersey.

Hi all.

hot, hot, hot here. Ice cubes in water dishes are de rigeur.

Myra- good on ya for the new deck. You'll love it.

Domina- I am officially out of leave for a while, but I'm going anyways -- just will take lwop.

My dear friend has recommitted herself to WW and she is jazzing me up too. I'm so happy.

Nothing doing here. Just trying to get a proposal out the door and failing miserably.

Hope all is well.

It's hazy, hot, & humid here again...yesterday it rained...grrr...now my nice clean car has water spots...I figured it would rain. Oh well it was nice while it lasted

Domina: I'm sure FL is the same type of weather...My bestfriend lives in the Clearwater area and when I visit her we go all over to tea rooms we've gone as far north as St. Augustine/Gainesville and we've hit both coasts...it's so much fun!

Lala: I'm having a hard time as well getting motivated to get things moved off my desk.

Myra: Once you get the move out of the way and your son back in school things will fall into place. I love having our deck off the back of our house.

Domina: I have to journal every day as well...it's not pretty if I don't.

I'll check in tomorrow after my meeting. The past few days haven't been pretty in terms of eating.

Humid here in sunny?? make that rainy Florida. We have had some tremendous storms here recently (scary).

Had my WI last night and was very pleased. I lost weight and I had a big food weekend!

BTW, I was asked by the leader if I would like to be a receptionist for WW. What do you all think? Aren't some of you WW employees? I already have a full-time job, but I really like the WW program, so I'm thinking about it.

Melissa, yep, gotta journal.

Everyone--an update on my fat clothes. I made an appointment at a consignment shop for this Saturday to try to sell the nice stuff. The rest of the clothing is going to Goodwill.

Last night I tried on some dressy dresses in my own closet that I haven't been able to zip--zipped them right up!! (yippee!!!)

Isn't that a great feeling. While packing I came across some clothes I haven't worn for at least four years because they were too small. About two thirds of them fit now. It was a real mood builder, especially since I really haven't lost much in the past few months. I know I should be content with just maintaining right now, but I can't wait to get back to goal.

I WI later this morning. I'll post the results when I get back.

HI guys,

good for you both on getting back into your smaller clothes!

hot, hot, hot here. I am not looking forward to the rest of the day. We are going to see Joan Baez tonight at the zoo. Could be a bit warm, but still a treat to sit out and listen to her croon.

However, when I told a 20 something that I was going to see Joan, they said "who is she?". Yikes. I'm not that old am I?

Anyways, frantically trying to finish up this proposal and waiting for my collaborators to return with crucial bits and pieces.

Domina- I think being a WW receptionist would be a great thing. For one thing, you get to weigh yourself on all those scales . I would think and melissa, kt and laurel can add -- when those promos go on, it can get kind of hectic. However, it would be fun to see the progress of some of those big losers.

man, i hope to be a big loser tomorrow and then off to NYC for a short weekend. Already have lunch plans and who knows what to do for dinner.

Hi everyone! It's monstrous outside heat/humidity wise...ugh! I went to my meeting at noon and was not surprised that I posted a 1.4# gain...I have no one to blame but myself. I'm more disgusted that I haven't been watching myself in terms of getting enough protein. In looking at my journal I can see why I've been eating with abandon. I'm taking the "bull by the horns" and am going to plan, plan, plan and make sure I journal. At least I can "see" where my problem is Next week will be better.

Domina: I'm a receptionist/weigher at my center and I really enjoy it. I'm finding that it helps me to reaffirm my motivation in the program and since becoming a receptionist my outlook is a lot different. I've actually lost a few more pounds which I credit to being busy in the evening and not wanting to snack so late in the evening. At first the paperwork is a little overwhelming but once you get into the groove of things it's not that bad. I really look forward to working and being able to help members who are struggling as I did and still do with things. Hope this helps!

Myra: Hope your WI went well...

Lala: I can totally relate...I was talking with some students in the office about the Disney movie "Ghost & Mr. Chicken" with Don Knotts and I got this blank stare...have a great time at the concert!

My WI wasn't stellar, but it wasn't that bad either. I lost all of .2 lb., but with everything going on I'm happy with it.
