Smile Newbie here! Just wanted to say HI!

Hello, I am 29 years old, divorced mom of 2 little boys 5 and 3. I have a great boyfriend (who weighs LESS than me ) who is supportive but doesn't quite understand how hard this is. I have been a former lurker who would also like the great support you all give each other!

I started my diet the day after Christmas. I just wanted to jump start it BEFORE the new year, cause I am ready and I AM going to do this! My diet is fat and calorie restricting. I am eating around 1100 calories a day right now. I also get atleast 30 minutes of exercise in EVERYday. This diet worked for me when I had my first child.

I was never a skinny girl to begin with. I weighed around 150 before I had kids. I'm 5'6. I weighed 220 the day I went in the hospital with my first and the day I came out I weighed 190. I lost all of my baby weight before my son turned 1. With my second son my heaviest was 199 when I went in the hospital when I came out I was 185. I was down to maybe 170 well I went all the way back to 190 in the past 3 years! I cannot believe! I am nipping this in the butt now!

My first mini-goal: By Valentines Day I am hoping to weigh as much as my tall thin boyfriend who weighs 175!

Can't weight to meet all of you

Anyway, congrats to you and good luck!

Hi heartmyboys!
You must have your hands full with your precious boys! - how smart to get started right away - sounds like you're off to a great start with a good plan and a can-do attitude - the support you need is here - we'll all be here to cheer you on.

Glad to have you join us! There are lots & lots of different groups and forums - I'm sure you'll find some that will keep you motivated, inspired and entertained! There's also info and first hand advice on different eating plans and exercise to help get through the ups and downs.

There are bunches of people here with more to lose and some with less - the bottom line is that we all have to do it a day at a time. The good thing is that we'll have lots of company along the way.

I've only been here a few months myself, having NEVER been part of an online forum. What has been so eye-opening is how much it has helped me. Whenever I feel overwhelmed or defeated, I just log on and read some of the success stories, complete with their before & after photos - or read about others still dealing day to day with their challenges - and before I know it, the time has flown by and so have all the thoughts of cheating or giving up.

So welcome - you 've found the right place - join in by inspiring us and being inspired!

All the best - good luck with your goals,
Lee

Happy Holidays!
