Default How does Atkins differ from Protein Power?

I've been comparing Protein Power to Adkins. They seems to be the same to me, except a few more carbs on Protein Power during induction, or its Phase 1. Am I right? Has anyone tried the Protein Power plan?

Thank you, Stacey

I personally have great admiration for Dr's Michael & Mary Dan Eades and the Protein Power Lifeplan. This is the plan that got my DBF interested in low carb eating
Basically PP is a high protein eating plan....Atkins is an adequate protein, high fat eating plan. You are correct, PP allows more carbs than Atkins....on PP, you are encouraged to eat 7-10 carbs per meal, as well as an optional snack of 7-10 carbs. All meats, poultry, fish, as well as, eggs, cheese are permitted. Dairy such as, milk, cream and yogurt are permitted providing you read labels and keep count of the carbs. On PP, grains are recommended to be eliminated entirely. Things like potatoes, some types of squash and legumes, as well as, high sugar content foods including certain fruit, should be limited or completely eliminated. Berries & melon are permitted. Alcohol is almost permitted on PP....of course, the carb content needs to be taken into consideration.
The main differences in PP & Atkins are PP permits alcohol & caffeine while Atkins does not.
I hope this helps
