i`m 20 years old to be married this Oct 19th, I came to my aunts house just this past week to work on losing some weight i got on the scales thinking that i only weighted about 375 but came to see that i was over 500lbs which is a **** of alot of weight, my fiance my mom and all my friends can`t see how i weighed that much but u ahve to believe the scales intill otherwise proven right? so i`m here to talk about it and to somehow make this LONG jurney fun and to ba able to chat with people who are going through the same thing, I hope to be able to meet some good friends.
I haven`t been able to talk to people about my weight let alone saying how much i weight but i guess if i can`t talk to anyone at home i`m sure to find some people here i`m also 5'11

Hi Sara:

First: Welcome to the 3FC's website! You'll just love it here.

Second: Best Wishes on your upcoming marriage!

Third: Congratulations on decidiing to start this wonderful (did I really say 'wonderful' ) weightloss journey!

This is a wonderful place to come for motivation and inspiration. Read as much as you can and join in wherever you feel comfortable.

I would like to call you attention to 2 of my favorite threads. One is here under 'WW100 club'. It's the 'Counting Down' thread. All of the girls there follow Weight Watchers.

The other thread (and the one that I post to regularly) is under the 'Support' heading. It's called '300+ And Ready To Try Again'. The girls there follow a multitude of different plans. A few are WW, but some are low carb, and others.

I just want to let you know that you will be welcome wherever you decide to make home. Everyone I've run into here on the boards is more than willing to help with advice and friendship.

I hope to see you around the boards often.

Hi Sarah,

Welcome and congrats on your upcoming marriage. I am also a fellow Canadian. I have been coming here for about a month now and find it is really helpful to hear how others are going through the same struggles and triumphs. They are also great for support and advice when you need it. I am here or on the Looking for a Buddy thread. Look for me at either thread or you can pm me if you like. I will try to help as best I can or just listen. I have been doing a lot of receiving (support) lately and not so much giving as I have been in a slump. But that's what this site is all about, give when you can and take when you need it. Hope to see you again soon.
Roz
