Default Staying on track

Good Morning!

I'm down to my last 16 pounds in my weight loss (119 lost so far!) and right now I'm needing a bit more focus to stay on track. It seems like there are eating situations EVERYWHERE these days (a fair in town, friends birthdays, camps, etc.) So far I'm doing ok at sticking to my plan and my exercise is great but it's been tough.

What do you do to stay on track when temptation calls?

I remind myself where I came from and that only I have the power to control what I eat.

I say to myself that being thin and healthy FEELS better than any of that food TASTES! It works! Always keeping my goals in mind in every single situation helps me a lot.

girl, you've lost 119 lbs! you KNOW how to resist temptation!! i am truly amazed at your loss!

my advice is to give in to temptation on special occasions.. but in a different way. i buy myself a new shirt for the event or maybe a nice pair of earrings. if i know the food is going to be too much temptation, i make sure i eat before going so that i can make better choices. if i know that chocolate birthday cake is going to be calling my name i bring along something else, say.. 5 hershey kisses. not great, but at 125 cals its a lot better than the ENORMOUS piece of cake id be downing!

Some excellent advice in here (and it helps just to look at everyone else's success). I like the idea of focusing on non-food rewards or modifiying treats so there is satisfaction without all the calories.

I've been pretty focused and motivated through the weight loss but as I get closer to my goal and things slow down a bit every little bit of extra motivation helps!
