I aim for 30% of my calorie intake - which is about 40-50 grams. I am very picky about my fats though - MUFAs are the bulk of my fat calories.

I am aiming for 30 per day.
When I lost weight the last time I stayed at 20...but was told a few years later by a Doctor that that was way to low.
and 30 is aeasier to stick to, anyway.

I don't have a true aim for fat grams, it usually is about 10-20% of my daily intake. All healthy fats.

This is the case with me as well.

The only thing I count is calories. But of course they're not any old calories. I am VERY choosy and particular with them. I need to get the very most satisfaction, volume, filling power, energy and nutrients from them. Each gram of fat has 9 calories, carbs and protein - 4.5 grams. So since I am a calorie counter, one who needs the most from them, I do tend to shy away from fat. Not completely of course, because they do serve a good purpose and they are essential to good health. So I too make sure that my fats are all healthy ones, the ones that have already been mentioned.

wamama, I just want to mention that when I started this little journey my eating wasn't as precise or as "clean" as it now. It does and will evolve. It's a learning process. I had to hone up on nutrition and what foods I liked. And what foods worked for me and what one's didn't. You'll get there. Just keep on educating yourself, experimenting, asking questions and recognizing what works for you and being open to change them up as need be. You'll be an expert on yourself (the only one that counts) in no time.
