Default Planning for the weekend

Ok so I am evaluating and trying to make a plan for this weekend.

Last weekend I went out with the girls Friday night and went to our "regular" volleyball party on Sunday. I thought I was really good. I let myself have the food but I tracked every piece and I didn't go over my calories burned. As far as alcohol I had 1 martini sat night and 2 rum punch drinks sun and a light corona with dinner.

When I got on the scale monday morning I was up 2 lbs and it wasn't until today that I was back to my pre weekend weight.

So I am trying to figure out what to do.

I have a get-together sat afternoon with some old friends and I have the volleyball thing on Sunday. If I stay away from all salty foods there won't be anything else. Mostly people bring chips and dips of all kinds plus baked stuff. Its all I can do to not eat the sweets. Then there is the alcohol. I never drink alot but....I don't know what to do. It seems weird to me that it causes the water retention since it is a diuretic, but ....it seems to be.

Any advice appreciated.

Salt can definitely have that affect (SOOOO annoying).

Maybe you can bring some things you can eat so you won't feel like you aren't having anything? Some fruits and veggies in a party platter? I'd also just have 0 alcohol if possible.

Or you could try upping the workouts during the week if you know you are not going to be eating well on the weekend.

Thanks for the response....the thing is, I didn't eat bad. And we played volleyball for hours. I have a GoWear Fit so I know I burned more than I eat so it was all water. Just hate having to fight water when I'm already fighting fat

Hmm I hate to say it but I wouldn't be too overly concerned about water retention anyway. According to your height your ideal weight is between 127 and 159 depending on your bone structure. I would probably be more focused on toning and maintenance at this point. Good luck!!

Bring a veggie platter and a fruit platter and skip the salty stuff and see what happens. Anything salty has a lot more salt than you need and will cause some major water retention.

If that's not workable, skip the weigh-in until next Friday, or just realize it's water weight and don't worry about it
