I have been reading over the last few months the messages posted in this section. It has been quite encouraging. Since the beginning of October I have been more careful about what I am eating. Also, I have been exercising every day. I don't have to decide or choose whether or not I will exercise, I "just do it" everyday. No excuses. By the way, I have lost 40 pounds. I have so much further to go. I feel unbelievably better. It makes me feel good when I read the success you are having. I know that it can be difficult...it's worthwhile.
I think I speak for most (if not all) of the regulars here when I say how helpful this board has been to me as well. It's great to hear from others in the same boat!
That's the way I exercise too - every morning, before work. It's just a part of my day, and for me, morning works great -- after work I'm usually tuckered out and just want to rest (besides, the gym gets SO crowded in the evenings!)
If you haven't already done so, I suggest going to your library and checking out "Make the Connection" by Bob Greene & Oprah Winfrey. There's some terrific guidelines for starting -- and keeping up -- exercise and sensible eating habits!
Congrats on your 40 pounds! I love hearing about people's successes, it gives me the motivation I need. I love coming to this site too. It encourages me, teaches me, and is a great place to vent! Anyways, welcome to 3FC's and may we all lose many more pounds with the help of this site!
