Default Calorie Counters...What are your fav cookbooks?

So I am a cookbook collector, and am need of some great low calorie tasty cookbooks. I would prefer more practical ones versus the gourmet ones that require 30 ingredients and takes 2 hours to prepare/cook. Lack of time and the need for quick meals is part of the reason why I have turned to meal delivery for the last couple of weeks. However, I have the cooking itch and have suspended my orders after next week's order arrives. So anyway, bottom line is I would love recommendations of your fav cookbooks.

My fav is pretty old, I bought it at the library. It is Betty Crocker's New Choices Cookbook.

Vegan Fire & Spice
WW's Versatile Vegetarian

But mostly when I can't find something to cook, I go to fatfreevegan..com and I'm guaranteed to find something tasty.

Hmmm I do love Betty Crocker cookbooks and haven't heard of that one, I will have to hit up Amazon :-)

And thanks Bacilli, I have no vegetarian cookbooks and have been wanting a good one for quite some time!

I got the Hungry Girl cookbook - the 200 under 200 one. 200 recipes under 200 calories. Found it at Walmart! Lots of low cal versions of some normally high cal food. I have tried one or two things so far and they are delish. You can also see it here:

http://book.hungry-girl.com/books

on hungry-girl.com you can also see many of the recipes!

It's not really a cookbook, but the website eatingwell .com is great. They have tons of recipes, lots of variety, and they give all of the nutritional info (which I notice a lot of sites don't do, making it harder for calorie counters!)

I love the hungry girl book. It catches a lot of grief because she does use processed foods, but its all about calories. 200 recipes under 200 calories are great for snacks, and add a little more and I can make them into meals. I play with the recipes a lot and it helps me get out of ruts of eating the same things over and over and over.

Thanks much! I will have to check out the Hungry Girl book, and the website looks promising! It is definitely frustrating when websites don't put the nutritional info ugh! Thanks!
