Default Please help me!!!

Ok so this is kind of long and if you wanna stop reading you can, OK?

Most of you know about my fertility woes, taking Clomid to ovulate, Metformin to control the PCOS, and Paxil to control my anxiety disorder.(yeah, I know, I'm a pharmacy!) Spoke to my obgyn this morning and he's told me in no uncertain terms that he is going to upgrade my fertility support to critical. I will be undergoing ultrasound, estrogen enhancement, upgraded Clomid to 100mg, upgraded Metformin to 1500mg, and possibly an injectable ovulator, don't even ask me the name of the stuff! Anyhoo--the crux of the matter is that with all the meds I'm going to have to take it's going to be VERY rough on my metabolism (never mind my poor tummy!). Doc wants me to strictly adhere to my low carb life and to eat ALL meals since I have to take meds 3x a day with meals.

Here is the task if you so choose to help your fellow chickie--help me make meal plans!!! I think the hardest part is the mornings since I am NOT a morning eater by trait. I have to readjust myself so I need all the help I can get helping me to put together a weekly plan. I can honestly say that I've never had a written down plan that I had to follow before, but the time has come where I have no other option--if I don't do it, I only hurt myself and possibly no baby for me. So think of it this way--you're helping me get pregnant!

You all don't have to worry about water intake, I drink enough ona daily basis to sink a battleship. Just the food part, and remember, I'm not a chef so not too hard, OK???

Love you guys!!!!!!!!

Well! Pooky! My Sweet! If I HAVE to help a chick get pregnant this is about the BEST way for me!!!!!

BUT! Remember I don't know too much about anything!

On Breakfast: How late do you stay up at night? Could you have a lunch, lunch and dinner or something like that?

Get out the grill and get a big batch of chicken done and freeze it so you can have it for those hot days you are out digging in the dirt and chasing baby X's big sister Miree!!!!

What making a quiche and slicing it in ready to serve sections and freezing it?

ok! that about sure shoots my wad....(not to be confused with getting you pregnant tho...It is not THAT kind of WAD!)

I have no shame!

Angry Pooky-Pooky-Pooky !!!!

Now, let's sit and talk about this. Put your feet up and relax. This is very doable!

I'm with Peach, does breakfast HAVE to be breakfast foods?
Mine was a piece of leftover chicken this morning!

Things I keep on hand for the non-conventional meals but are LC OP -

Ready made beef or chicken patties that can be broiled or nuked
I like to add a bit of salsa & slice of cheese on top

presliced Canadian bacon or pepperoni & a hard boiled eggs

precooked sausage patties (sometimes nuked with a fried egg, topped with a slice of cheese)

Gortons preseasoned fish fillets & salad

summer sausage & cheese chunks

bacon (sometimes I 1/2 cook extra for me and nuke it the next morning)

Leftover meats - just something to put in my tummy and get my day started

I must admit that as I'm not a big breakfast eater either that keeping a supply of the above but definately the hard boiled eggs and cheese chunks get me thru the morning hours.

My lunches normally consist of some form of salad usually topped with chicken or turned into a taco salad.

I'll keep trying to think of other quickie ideas. Can you take your pills with your LC protein drinks? Or does it need to be actual foods?

J

Peachie-you are so bad! lmao!

I try to stay away from the p-bars but they are quick and easy protein. (they give me gas)

But I have to agree I am pretty boring but let me see from one of my other boards what i can do OK there have tons of ideas that they use

but here is a few ideas
shake? there is a whole list of them in the recipe section or the FAQ

why does ithave to be breakfast I have been known to eat tuna, ham steak.

but my favorite thing is a double duty for me. i eat 2 soft boiled eggs, and put n 1/4 cup fiber One the reason is that it is very high in fiber 7 in 1/4c or the serving is 1/2 and that is 14 for only 24 carbs which is only 10 ecc. great for the low carb. it is crunchy and tastes like gram crackers. but i love toast with my eggs to instead i use thisand it dose work!! (it is sweetened with aspertane the only cereal that is)

Under the miscl recipes i posted about 20 recipes that i had down loaded for you the best ones are the riccotta pancakes I have hear raving review with that one and i can find an easier recipe for that if that one is to hard, and the cream of wheat it is delicious!!

then there is the easy way out take some cottage cheese sprinkle with sweetener, cinnamon, dribble of vanilla, dribble of cream or half and half and it tastes like rice puddingish.

Yes, very do-able indeed. I'm not usually one to pass out advice, but I completely agree with you guys!

Try to do lunch, lunch, supper. That way you wont feel tied down the the typical eggs/bacon meal every single morning. And, if you MUST have breakfast, then maybe you can eat in the evening???

I LOVE the quiche idea -- that is great!

I like to make 4 or 5 cans of tuna (tuna, hard boiled eggs, celery, onion & dill pickle - lite mayo & a touch of mustard) at one time to keep in the fridge. It really helps on the morning's, especially when I am too lazy to cook! Sometimes I will have a couple of rye-crisp.

Pooky, good luck. I know this is a difficult struggle and the emotions regarding fertility can be fierce!

oh pooky... hope this all works for you.

but in the meantime...

here are some other ideas...

melt a slice of cheese over some deli meat in the microwave.

make a stash of a few deviled eggs [i put pickle relish or some chili sauce in mine]

some high protein soup with some added cheese.

yogurt or cottage cheese mixed with some high protein cereal like Kashi

that about does it for me.

keep us posted. we LOVE baby showers!!!!

Pooky, my favorite breakfast -

Cream Cheesy Eggs - Take 2 hard cooked eggs and 2 tbsp cream cheese and mash together, heat in microwave for about 45 sec and mix up again, add a little salt and pepper - delicious!!!!!

You guys are stars! Thanks soooo much for the advice, just everything I have to do is so daunting and it's really great to know I have such good friends to help me!

Scooby, I love them too

JIff, if all this works, we'll be having a shower soon!

Thanks jenniwookie, I have also been considering the lunch lunch super thing too, but the meds I have to take have to be space out a bit--grrr...this really sucks

Sue you are awesome! Not only are you a plumber extraordinaire but you even have time to post all those recipes! I could kiss you! ((((HUGS))))

Sams grandma--I never even considered using dijon mustard before, especially with cheese! I'll just have to give it a try!

Janice, yes, I can take this pills with protein drinks, but I really should eat something solid with it since the pills are just wild on the tummy. I'm thinking liquid cheese

peachie, peachie, peachie, shooting wads? ROFLMAO! I'd stick with cooking lots of chicken my friend! I think I'm gonna give it a try!

I counted in an average day how many pills I have to take--it's 7. That isn't including all the extra stuff doc is gonna want me to take. I am hoping and praying that it all happens very soon and that I can stop taking all this tuff. You know, we didn't even plan Miree, she was a beautiful wonderful happy accident so all this nonsense of pills, charting, temping and the like is very gruelling to say the least. I just hope this baby appreciates all this!
