Thanks Kim. Yesterday was a very "carby" day, but the most interesting experience I had last night was that I got hungry but not for carbs. My body was actually craving protein. Can you believe it? I guess the semi-lowcarb things I've been doing and this experience kind of proves that I need to be a lowcarber.
Kim, have you every heard of what is called the Lowcarb 72 or something like that? I found it on another website. They seem to do a 1972 Atkins plan. They do a strict induction for 7 days and then build up a few carbs like only maybe 5g a day for week 2 and add a few on week 3 etc. I never was able to do a full 14 day induction in the past and gave up Atkins because of that. Can't rememberr what happened, but I would quit Atkins. I believe I can do a 7 day AI as I now believe it is important to get the pancreas functioning properly and this is how to do it. After reading the Metabolism Miracle book, I've learned this also causes the liver to function properly as well. I am also convinced that I am a Metabolism B person who has been using diets that fit a Metabolism A person. Can't put a square peg in a round hole. I can see where all this started for me. I will be 66 yrs next month and I started having weight problems when I was about 15 or 16 years old although I didn't gain much because I was very active. Suddenly in my senior yr in high school I started having all kinds of problems such as being weak and fainting etc. It was all the carbs I ate. When I got out of high school and went to college oooohhhh my the carbs I ate and I had all the classic symptoms of a Met B on carbs.
Kim what is your opinion of the fats? Do you just use butter and healthy fats or what? That is pretty much what I do although I do have to admit that I do like pork fat.
Thanks for your help and support. I am excited about this now that I know what to look for I am certain I can do it.
Have a good day.
