Question How do you know when you are really hungry??

As I mentioned many times here, at 3FC, as I am addicted to food, I feel like eating 24/7. So I don’t really know when I am feeling hungry or if I just want to eat again.
Before I started my eating plan I would eat all the time, even if just a bite of this or that...
So, now that I am OP I can’t really figure out when I just want to eat or when I am really hungry... It is hard because I try ignore these feelings so I don't keep feeding myself, but I don’t want to miss out on the signs that my body is giving to me like when I am really hungry and need to get some food in.
I was thinking that a good sign could be when my tummy starts to growls, but I read in some post once that even when it happens it doesn’t mean you are hungry and you have to eat right at that time. So, I have no clue how how to know when I am hungry and was wondering how the others chicks could figure that out

Sometimes it helps me to ask if I'd still eat if the only thing available was something not sweet or starchy (or whatever your comfort food is) and something I didn't even particularly like. If I really just want one particular thing, then it's taste hunger, not real physical hunger. If you have a particularly strong habit of just constantly eating, this might not work - you might be willing to eat anything just to eat.

It's also something one person can't describe entirely for another. It will be experienced a little differently by everyone. And if you've ignored it a long time, or it's been obscured a long time by meds or disease or whatever, then you have to expect being "fluent in hunger" to take a little time and attention to develop.
