Just a bit frustrated with life right now. I can barely walk, my foot hurts and it has a lovely hole in it, my arm hurts where they had to give me this nice painful jab of tetanus booster, and I cant really function normally because the medicine they give me makes me nauseated, and I cant do my normal physical activity.

Last night I was walking out to give the goats their food, and outside of there area there is a bit of garbage. I happened to just perfectly step on a nice rusty framing nail, straight up through my shoe, which of course has goat droppings stuck to them.

So DH got the goats fed after getting me into the house, locked everything up and drove me to the hospital, a nice 20 minute drive. Got a nice booster shot, and this perscription for a HUGE horse pill antibiotic and told to lay off the foot for a while. Not a problem since walking gives me such horrible issues anyways.

I am supposed to go to my college gym class tomorrow, don't know how that's supposed to work, but I suppose I could use the bikes without to much pressure on my foot, we will have to see how it goes.

So as fair warning to all the others on 3FC, rusty nails are not your friends! Be aware and stay away.

When I read this i thought you were referring to the drink! That sucks about your injury though--hope you feel better soon.

I thought you meant the alcoholic drinks called a "Rusty Nail", which are also not your friend. They'll knock you on your a**. Or they did, once upon a time when I drank them!

Actually one of the nurse's did ask me if I wanted a rusty nail....maybe that would have helped with the pain.
