Default 3 days on WW! Newbie!

Hi Everyone!

I'm new to WW! I decided to join WW after watching a good friend of mine make AMAZING progress!

I've been on plan for 3 days now and so far i'm loving it!

My only issue is that due to my work schedule it's hard for me to actually cook or prepare anything. For the next couple of months i'll be putting in about 12 hours a day at the office! I'd love some advince or pointers on low point foods that are easy to put together.

I've stocked myself up on SmartOnes (They were on sale) but I would really like to avoid eating those all the time just for convenience!

I'm thrilled to have found this site since i'm not doing meetings but working with WW online!

I'm looking forward to getting to know you all!!!

P.S how long have you ladies been on WW? and, how much weight have you lost so far? I'm just curious!

Hi there, and welcome!!

I think your best thing to consider would be a mix of, say, frozen WW entrees and weekly planning -- cook up a big pot of SOMETHING and divide it up. Chili, for example, is quick and easy to do in 1/2 hour on a day off, and will give you a TON of meals. Same with chicken cacciatore, or spaghetti sauce.

I would also suggest that you go to your local big chain bookstore and check out the WW recipe books. There are some great collections out ther -- I have one geared specifically towards quick recipes, and is divided by time -- recipes taking 10 minutes, those taking 20 minutes, and those taking 30 minutes.

I think this works well because you eventually have to learn to cook if you want to maintain this lifestyle, so there really is no time like the present to get into the swing of things!!!

Let us know how you make out!

Kira

ps -- my ticker says it all!

Hi Newbie, I'm a newbie, and on my 3day too. May I recommend the zero point veggie soup. I made that my first day,and it's a life saver. So far I've used it for lunch, and for being healthy, low fat ,and ZERO points,it taste pretty good. Best wishes...Choices~

I'm sorry, I think I posted in the wrong area. I'm doing WW at home. I don't have a starter pack. Sorry about that

Hi my name is Donna and I have been on weight watchers for 1 year and 5 months and I have lost 76lbs. One thing I want to warn you is that you have to be careful of how many smartones you eat in a week. My Grandmother was eating one almost every night for dinner and wasn't losing weight. My leader recommended to her that she eat those once or twice a week because they are VERY high in sodium. I bring friut with me, salad, grilled chicken, or a sandwich. I LOVE salt and vinegar potato chips so I found these chips called Kettle Bakes they are soooo good. You find them in the Health food section of your grocery. They are only 2 points per serving. Good luck in your journey I hope you have great success
