Arrow Daily, June 14th!

I love Flag Day!

I would love it better if I had not forgotten to take the one tylenol pm last night that I usually take...I have been up for hours!

Last day of school for the big kid today! Last year he was funny. When he got home from school he was very very quiet and sweet. Instead of running and skipping around and being happy that his summer was starting...he was kind of melancholy that first grade was over. (and first grade wasn't so great for us!) I wonder how he will react today since second grade was GREAT!

Running out to look for more little candy dishes today for the little guy's teacher's for Monday. They came out great and I was pleasantly surprised at how many people throw out crystal! I have a "thing" for crystal! I know of at least 3 pieces that I am keeping for myself!

Have a great day!

TGIF everybody!

Sorry you had a poor sleep. Peachie. I've been awake since 3 - we should have met up in chat!

The last day of school....boy, that brings back memories! I always loved my teachers and hated to leave them but was excited about the summer vacation here in Delta, on The Island or at camp. By mid-August, I was itching to get back to school.

Today is Lucy's last day of Obedience School and there is a graduation ceremony, no less! No little hats (I hope) but they do get certificates and a dog biscuit! Lucy will graduate at the bottom of her class - you lose points for submissive peeing, I'd imagine! Once again I'll avoid being near *****y Drawers so I don't need to listen to her snide remarks. What a miserable woman! I hope I don't run into her at a show.

It looks like the rains from the mid-West are moving in on us so that puts a finish to my gardening for a while. Five days of 60% chance of rain. I guess I may get caught up on laundry and mending!

Absolutely NO weekend plans - and I like it that way!

Have a great Friday!

Wow! You two are sure up early this AM.

I did the aqua class last night. It was kick-boxing in water! While my arms seemed to get worked out, the rest of me didn't. The problem was the instructor kept trying to get us to do moves that work great on land but just can't be done in the water (especially if you extra "bouyant"). She (the instructor) even said that her class is not getting good reviews but she can't figure out why. Man! After taking just one class, I could give her at least five reason why her class is rated the worst aqua class available. No wonder so many of my swim partners chose other types of class when it's this woman's turn to teach (the 2nd and 5th Thursday of each month). I know I'll be looking at alternatives next month myself.

Did pretty good OP yesterday. Carbs a bit high but calories were right on track so I'm not feeling guilty. No ice cream! (I ate the last of it the night before. )

Running around making Avon deliveries this AM. Meeting friends for lunch (and making more deliveries). Today is the kids' last full day of school (have 1/2 day on Monday for the 1 snow day we had this season).

Talk to you all later.

Good morning, Rachel.

Consider that prayer said. I feel for your friend. I sincerely hope that they can help her. At least it is one of the most treatable forms of cancer. God bless her and bless you with the strength to be there for her.

Good Morning,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SIS !!
(Even though she doesn't read these lol)

I'm going home today at 12:00 and I'm stopping off at a place here near work that makes the BEST cakes in the world, I swear this place is dangerous. They even leave samples out when you go there. Anyway I can't decide weather to get my sister a New York Blackout Cake, Bananna Chocolate Mousse, Balleys Espresso Cream Cake, Carrot Spice Layer or a Boston Cream cake, shoot the list goes on and on, I'm starting to drool.

With that note, have a great weekend everyone.

Love, Leens

Grand Friday Morning to you all!

Well my boys made it through their first week of summer vacation and did great. This is their first year staying home. Because we both work, they have been in day care programs all their life. This year as usual, I am taking vacation on Mondays and Grandma and dad are alternating on Fridays. This year their 15 yo cousin from Tennessee is watching them Tuesday through Thursday. He spends the night, so no one even has to get up early. It is great for the boys, they admire him so much. He is a scholar and athlete and a very sweet boy. He helps the boys with studying in the morning and they play most of the afternoon. I hope he enjoyed it as much as we did.

Have a visit from the mil this weekend, should be great.

Have a great op day!

Morning!
I am off to get my hair colored this morning (do't tell DH he thinks I am a natural readhead....lol) Kids are going to a daycare camp today, but the weather really sucks. We had a mild winter and a cool spring and now a cold summer, I miss those 90 degree lets go to the pool days. I need those otherwise it is going to be a very long summer with the kids home.

We leave for NY on Monday, my car is in the shop and may not be ready so I have a minivan on hold for next week. I am hoping i don't have to rent it but I need to get the kids (mine and a friend of older boy), stuff and bikes to NY. ( I have a bike rack for my SUV) It is alittle more than I want to spend but I think my car insurance will pu some of it.

Peach; our kids must be about the same age....mine are 5 and 8
Ruth; submissive peeing, that ought to be fun in the show ring...lol
leens;happy happy to your sister,
Rachel; A prayer for your frien, i hope it works out well.
Jo; I will pm you when I get back from NY and we can compare scheduals for the water park.

off to get dresses and make up with DH as he has been trying to educate me on the stock market and I can't foccus on it for the life of me.

Happy Flag Day here in the U.S. Unfortunately instead of blue skies it is cloudy and that promised cool front has moved in and it is only supposed to get up into the 60's today. Sure doesn't feel like summer vacation. DS is off to football workouts and I have laid out my Walk Away the Pounds video. It has been a week since I've done it. I have GOT to get back into this exercise stuff. Spent from 4:45 til 8:00 yesterday in a gym--only proble is it was a basketball gym and DS was playing and I was not exercising. Good news is they won both of their games. They are now 5-0 and that is so super. His teams in the past have really struggled so this is fun for him (and easier for DH and I)Not a lot on the agenda today, maybe a little more closet cleaning (ugh)or something equally exciting! Going to grill out some fish tonight--might have to wear my long-johns while I do it, but it will taste good anyway! Have a good one ladies!!

Scooby, prayers being said for your friend.

Talking Happy Friday!

Good morning you early birds!

Plan on doing some laundry (does it ever get done?) while waiting for the fridge repairman this morning. Then off to do a bit of shopping. I'd held off buying much needed shorts hoping to drop at least ten more pounds by end of June. Not happening.

Oops, someone just came in! Check back with you later!

J

Quick check back in ~

Scooby, just wanted to let you know prayers for your friend are coming from Texas.

Well friday is here and I work most of the weekend...which is fine because I had just about a whole week off and I got so much done...hubby got home at close to one in the morning...I should have sent him to some of the insomnics on the board.....anyhow it is good to have him home.

DD10 is looking forward to having him go on a field trip with her to the wetlands....I'll hang with dd4 and nephew 11 who has not school today.

Got a nice pedicure last night and brow wax so not much on the agenda today except for weigh in and maybe some scrappping....part of a big summer challenge here and the prizes are great.

Have ordered my Mary Kay and so that should be arriving any day now...gonna go a bit pinker for the summer.

Annie I need to find one of those walking videos and get back on track.

I'm rather proud of DH and I on our changing of food habits. Last night I made a pork and bean casserole with used to contain bacon and hamburger. I used vegetable crumbles and turkey bacon with vegetarian pork and beans and it was fine. We have baked or broiled fish once a week and we've discovered foiled wrapped sweet potatoes(yams) taste pretty good with Molly McButter. I'm also working at increasing our chicken and turkey intake instead of beef and pork and we ate a lot of veggies now.

DH tries to take a walk after lunch by his office everyday, but I have a challenge when it comes to exercise.

This weekend includes a tractor pull. For those who don't know, farmers compete in classifications by horse power with tractors to see how far the tractors can pull a certain weight. Is fun and a chance to visit and drink beer. That is a most popular beverage, it seems. It also supports the volunteer fire station... the tractor pull, that is!

Have a good weekend!

Well, Lucy graduated this morning and did NOT submissive pee at all! (L. - I know she has to stop doing that before she is shown. I am on the lookout for black Depends for her.)

Actually I had to stifle a smile - make that a smirk - because *****y Drawers got her comeuppance! Her dog not only threw up but pooped! ROFLOLPIMP. The instructors were not pleased and just took her dog and handed her the mop.

Still raining so it's going to be a quiet afternoon.
