Just wondering if any of you have experienced pain in your lower abdomen/ above pelvic bone because of your cysts?

I'm curious about this too. I've been told I'm one of the PCOS-ers that doesn't in fact have any ovarian cysts (who knows, right?)...apparently ultra-sounds and pelvic exams are what make the doctors think this.

The last two days I've been having dull pain and sense of urgency/heaviness in my bladder, so I was diagnosed over the phone with a bladder infection and given antibiotics. I haven't been taking them for 24 hrs yet, and it still feels the same, so hopefully it really is just a bladder infection.

But I'm wondering how bad and where/what kind of pain is felt when it's a result of cysts or bursting cysts. If I'm still hurting in a few days I'm gonna rule out bladder infection and go back to the doctor and blame it on the PCOS. So, if you have cysts...what does the pain feel like? Where is it mostly for you? Not so pleasant to describe or think about, I'm sure...but inquiring minds need to know!!

I do have cysts. And it hurts for me all along the top of my pelvic bone. It is like a constant intense pain. Somewhat like a really bad constant cramp. And it hurts more when I press on it.

I get those a lot. It normally happens when my cysts are extremly enlarged and then the constant pain normally happens when they burst. I tend to have this happen when i haven't had that "time of the month" in awhile. I would call your dr. if it doesnt go away after 4 or more days. Good luck!

I wasn't sure about the pain. I've been having it for a while now. I have an appointment Friday to have an ultrsound on my ovaries and hopefully the Dr. will be able to tell me if the pain is coming from cycsts or not.
