Default A Prodigal Fat Chick

Hi, I'm a returning Fat Chick. I'm not going to give up - ever.

I have not gained weight since I fell off the board and have really reduced greatly my nighttime eating, although I am still doing it. Also, I have cut the wine drinking wayyy down. However, my activity/stress problem remains. My stress level has been through the roof as I am a tax preparer as well as a full-time honors student, wife and homeschooling parent. Now that the tax season rush is over, that part is better. However, as an undergrad taking all graduate classes plus a fellowship, my school work is mountainous.

The problem that relates here is that my schedule is so tight that I don't have a moment to spare. When I find a moment I am so exhausted that I can't move. On top of all that, my asthma has been kicking my butt and I have a chest infection. Arrgggh! lol

My plan of attack is:

1. Compartmentalizing/prioritizing everything I need to do and getting it done - I graduate in a few weeks
2. Learning to say, "no" or to tell people to wait
3. Getting my butt into our community garden for fresh air and exercise - making free moments on the weekends
4. Cutting out nighttime eating completely (unless I get home really late)
5. Eating breakfast - even if it is only a glass of GoLean
6. Drinking more water (I tend not to drink anything)
7. Getting onto this board at least once a week to be accountable

I'm hoping that after my midterms/presentation this week I will have recovered and will have more energy to get back into the gym. Focus is the goal here.

~Peace

Welcome Back!!!

I would definitely say you have a full plate; I don't know how you do it.

Looks like you have a good plan. My only suggestion is to eat a good breakfast instead of the glass of "go lean". Your body needs the fuel, especially with a schedule like that.

We're here for you, check in when you can.

Thanks for the support. This is why I made myself take a break and come back here.

I totally agree with you about the breakfast. The problem is that I'm not used to eating breakfast and some days I don't have time. That is a definate goal though - eat a good breakfast every morning and eventually dispense with the GoLean!

Welcome (back)!! Congratulations on maintaining your loss!

When I was an adult student, I used to eat an English muffin and drink a bottle of grapefruit juice on my drive into the city each day. No prep time whatsoever, and no impact on my schedule. Would it be possible to do something like that?

Hi, Archy! Sounds like you've got lots of skills in the Maintenance department already!
That's a heck of a schedule! Wouldn't worry about breakfast too much - pretty much anything will work. I've run out the door a time or two with peanut butter in my mouth and the spoon sailing toward the sink - not the best, but it'll keep me going for a while. Or a piece of pizza. Or a few slices of lunchmeat. Even better - a hardboiled egg. I'm a protein fan.

Meanwhile - welcome aboard - again!
