Default And the birthday dinners start

Ok I need some help on food choices. My MIL's birthday is Sunday and my SIL called to tell me that we are going to Golden Corral. Great a buffet. Well, I am worried about going over on my calories, not because I feel that I will binge but because I have no way to weigh and measure what I eat or what my best choices will be. Any advise?

Thanks!
PS. This is just one of the birthday parties I have to attend next week, all will be at restaurants.

On The Daily Plate you can look up some foods from the Golden Corral and their calories. I'd say just estimate your servings (be very cautious!). That is what I did when I went there. I just ate a salad, a cup of soup, some salmon and veggies.

[edit] I went on the link above and that is beyond helpful!

Dotti's has a lot of info for Golden Corral also:

Just plan yourself some options, brush up on eyeballing your portion sizes, and be moderate. You'll do just fine.
