Default Another newbie!

Hi everyone! I found this site a couple of weeks ago, and have been reading posts in several of the forums. It seems like such a helpful, supportive place that I wanted to de-lurk and join in.

My story: I've always been at least somewhat overweight, but the last several years the pounds have been sneaking on faster, until I hit an all-time high of 180 last November. I finally decided I needed to change, so I started tracking my food and joined a gym. So far I've lost 24 pounds, mostly at a nice steady 2 pounds/week. Then 2 weeks ago I suddenly dropped 3 pounds in 5 days and stalled - the scale hasn't budged in over a week. But the great thing is that this time I know it will start dropping again eventually, so I'm just sticking with my new good eating habits and bumping up the exercise. In the past, a stall like this would have made me give up.

Looking forward to joining in!

Welcome lovelosing! Congrats on your 24 lbs so far! What a great accomplishment! You have made changes your body must like and is showing you results as proof of it. If your stalled, you may want to change up something and see if that helps. Sometimes exercise needs to be changed around to get back results- like intensity /routine since your body may have gotten use to what you have been doing. Sounds like you are on the right path though! Good luck to you on continued results!

Hi lovelosing, from another newbie here at the forum. It sounds as though you are on a very good path right now. Don't let the stall get you down...sometimes our body just decides to take a break from the losing. But, it will kick back in when it is ready. Congrats on the 24 pounds!!
