BOY!!!
Johnathon William decided to make his appearance 13 days early on January 15th at 4:48pm. He was 6lbs 15oz and 18 1/2 inches long.
Hi ladies, I am sorry it has taken me so long to get on here an get an update. I forgot how tired you are and how crazy things get with a new baby.
I wasn't due until the Jan 28th so when I woke up at 3am on the 15th feeling uncomfy I didn't think it could be the real thing. Finally about 6am I started to think that something was going on so we called our midwife. She said to take a shower and then meet her at the hospital and she would check to see what was going on. I was 3cm and 80% that Monday at my appt when she checked me I was 4-5 and 90% by 10:00. It was baby day! We walked until about 11:30 and when she checked again I was at a 6 and so she broke my water and I got the epidral about 1. Was fully dialted by 2, but he was posterior so they wanted to see if he would turn himself as he came down instead of trying to turn him while I was pushing. I felt that I needed to push about 4:30 and when they checked he had gotten into the perfect position and was ready. I only had to push 3 times and there he was.
I am so gald that we decided to wait to find out what we were having. It was so exciting when I was pushing - knowing that I was gonna know what our baby finally was. I must say that I was honestly surprised when they said "IT'S A BOY"! I had a girl feeling pretty much the whole time - so much for mothers intuition I guess.
Baby John is doing so well and the other two kids are such a big help. They love their little brother so much and want to hold him all the time. He loves to breastfeed and everyone teases him about being a "booby baby". He would be latched on to me all day if I would let him, lol.
It is tiring, but we are adjusting well and we couldn't be happier with our new arrival. I hope that everyone else is doing well and feeling good. I will try and post some pictures soon. I had better get off before John wakes up and wants to eat again.
