Hello Liz!

I'm sorry to hear about your mom passing away

There are a few sections around 3FC that you might want to check out. There's the Depression and Weight Loss area, there's a great & very active 50+ group where you can meet with a ton of people your age to chat daily And you might find others to talk to in the Dieting with Obstacles section due to your disability.

Depending on your food plan, you could also find people under Diet Central following similar plans.

Let us know We'd all love to help support you!

Hi Liz,

Very sorry to hear about you losing your mom. Losing a parent is very hard. My dad died last March, also suddenly, and I still miss him terribly. I know something too about disabilities, though it is my oldest son, not myself. He is physically disabled, though trying to live as normal a life as he can. He's even in his first year of college. So even though I'm not disabled, maybe I can relate to you somewhat about having a disability.

I am 50 years old and have certainly been there when it comes to battling the weight war. The depression, poor self image, everything that goes with being overweight and the seemingly endless battle to find a way to get it off and keep it off. It can certainly seem overwhelming at times, can't it? But ya know places like this can sure help, seeing others in the same boat, people sharing ideas and different things that have worked. I sure hope it will give you some encouragement and some hope that things will get better.

I'd be happy to be an e-mail buddy if you would like and you could even use the private messaging if you'd prefer. Just let me know.

Shirley
