Question CHARM BRACELET Reward

Ok Girls and Guys
I need you to tap into your creativity to help me.

When I hit my REAL 10% (I'm .8 lbs away!) I'm going to get myself a charm bracelet, and then add charms to it for reaching "goals" for losing weight. I need some ideas for what to get for the charms!

For example: I was thinking of finding a bunny charm, since my first goal was for easter.

Maybe a flower charm for my mother's day goal..

ETC.

But would look for other "big" charms, for 25 lbs, 50 lbs, etc.

Any ideas??

I know other people have had this idea too, so maybe you can help ALL of us out!

My memory is SHOT! I hate to admit this but I cannot remember which one of my best buds here had the same reward system. That is horrible! Memory what a wonderful thing.

I would say to purchase charms that have meaning to them, things that mean alot to you. It all depends on what kind of person you are.

I'm thinking, BA, give me a minute! ummmm.....ummmmm...well, ummmmm...oh, crap - later! I forgot what I was doing...

Maybe you could use fashion accessories (shoes, dresses, handbags...) or exercise ideas (scales [BOO] or dumbells? Maybe you could celebrate with a day trip and find one to commemorate the loss AND the trip. I probably should use travel as my rewards...I think it's what I love best!

I'm going to go and read on. Love,

Ok I'm buying a charm bracelet.. its a little thin bracelet that has links on it that you can hang small charms off of. The charms are between 1/4 and 1/2 inch in size usually.. and yes, I'd wear it on my wrist So you add as many charms as you want.

Default what a great idea!!!

haven't checked out your choices, but i'm sure they're just wonderful. maybe there's somethiing in there to represent things you couldn't do that now you can after losing the 25, or 30 or whatever pounds.

and things that make you smile [as in, 'these are a few of my favorite things']

and don't forget the graduation cap when you reach your goal!!!!!!

Looks like you've got it figured out, I was the other charm bracelet... (doing that freaky twin thing) I'm getting mine when I hit 50# lost, and then every 20 or so after. My first will be something exercise related, like a dumbell or something, then gemstones, birthstones for everyone I'm doing this for, including myself, one for hubby, and each kid (not doing it FOR them, but so I'll be around for them even long after they're sick of me ) Only thing is, hubby and 2 of the kids have the same birthstone, hmmm, I could just combine theirs! I have others in mind too, doodads here and there...

Did you think of using numbers? Like for the big loss? You could get a 50 or 100 or up and then when asked you cold say that the others were your smaller goals and the numbers just remind you of the big picture.

I don't know, that's just my two pennies, lol

BA, I have a question for you. I want to coppie your idea about the charm bracellet. I was wondering where you got the bracellet. I want to use different charms but I liked the idea. After telling my husband about it, he thinks it a great idea as well.

I hope you don't mind. If you don't would you mind telling me where you get the charms and the bracellet?

Thank you very much,

Default I got It!

So I got my charm bracelet. Didn't end up with exactly the charms I was planning, but pretty close.

Here's what I got:

Cool charm link bracelet from Afterthoughts, has chunky links and a post and loop closure

Bought my charms at AC Moore
1 flower pot charm for Easter Goal
1 ruler charm for 25 lbs lost (measure your success!)
1 hummingbird charm for Mother's Day goal (my mom loves birds)
1 scissors charm for 10% body weight lost (cutting my ties with bad habits!)

I'll try to take a picture of it to show you when I'm feeling a little more human.

Default Neat Idea!!

I've never worn a lot of jewelry, but I've always loved nice charm bracelets I have a necklace that I wear gold three baby booties with birthstones in them for my three kiddos Victoria (8), Logan (5), and our little angel in Heaven, Alexandra, who died during delivery on 5/4/99. I love my charms My mom got me Lexi's the day before her funeral, and then I got Tori's & Logan's the next week Very special
