That is pretty cool. Do you think you'll find yourself changing what you watch since your viewing will be monitored or are there no guilty pleasures on your tv schedule I know mine is full of them

Do you have Fringe in the UK? If so, check it out - if you like House, you'll probably like that show

I did this once for Nielsen ratings before the advent of the personal computer, etc. We had to fill out a form on every show we watched for a month or so. It was tedious and we didn't get any compensation at all. I'm glad you get a little something.

I wonder how we'd fare with that. It is not uncommon for us to record 2 events while watching something previously recorded.

Good luck with this.

That's cool. I had a friend in high school whose family was selected for the Nielsen ratings. They had a box hooked up to their TV as well. They also had a barcode scanner installed in the kitchen and barcode scanned all their groceries for 1 year. It was kinda interesting.

OoO Fun!! I've always wanted to do that, lol. But then I usually watch music videos all day, so it would be boring, lol.

I think that's very cool! It's sometimes nice to think that your opinions might count for something, huh? Enjoy the extra bucks too-every little bit helps!

I used to work for a certain company already mentioned that did such ratings. So, I'll never be able to have the box hooked up to any of my TVs.

It's interesting to be a part of, or so I hear, but it's not for me.

I'd love to do that. I watch so much different stuff to everyone else that I would totally throw the numbers! Ever since I got Sky+ and can record stuff so easily I just watch rubbish. I have half of the last series of Biggest Loser taking up most the of memory (they so need to show the next one so I can delete them!). Between that and repeats of Project Runway I am pretty much the only person in the UK whose reality TV viewing doesn't involve dancing or singing!

I didn't like the UK one either. Its just not the same. Don't think they've done a new series in years actually.

They had the couples series on Sky Real Lives earlier this year and Living had the first two series on a couple of months ago but nothing at the moment. I search the schedules regularly trying to find it. I'm hoping it will pop up in January when all the shows are about losing weight!
