Wow! What an accomplishment! Congratulations!

Idea #1: Make-over! Go to a local salon for a facial and manicure/pedicure. Most department stores offer make-overs or you can contact Avon's 1-800 number for a Certified Beauty Consultant in your area who can do it for you. Take your best girlfriend and shop for the "perfect" outfit. Then take said girlfriend (or your significant other) and go to your favorite restaurant or one you've been wanting to try and enoy (within reason).

Idea #2: Weekend away! How about a "not-too-far-away" Bed & Breakfast Inn? Again, take your best girlfriend or SS -- or go alone and enjoy your own company. Browse through local antique shops, see a movie, take a hike (meant in the best possible way), go horseback riding, or whatever else appeals to you.

Idea #3: New Spring Wardrobe! Toss of your old spring clothes that are now too big (and some of the ones that still fit but are in less than perfect shape) and replenish your closet with current styles and flattering colors. Break up the shopping trip with a light lunch at a cafe (I like the Starbuck's Coffee House located in a local bookstore).

Idea #4: Take a Day Cruise! I live in New England (near the ocean) and there are all kinds of day cruises starting up soon. Some are just big restaurants on the water where you eat, drink, and enjoy the view. Others are for deep sea fishing (actually kinda fun) and whale watching. You can even take a cruise to Nova Scotia (although that one is an over-nighter).

As you can see, I've given this some thought. Now, of course, you'd need to tailor these to your schedule and budget. If I'm off the mark on what might appeal to you, sorry. These are things I'd like to do as a "reward" for reaching my goal.

Whatever you chose, Enjoy!! You've earned it!

JIFF!!!! WOW! I knew you were losing but that is incredible! Now just watch, a newbie will ask you what program you are on. I see Jo has posted some great celebration uggestions - go for it!!

Woke up this a.m. to a 3 pound GAIN! I know what it's from so .... water and protein for today. That darn soy sauce - even the light version makes me hold water!

Lucy goes to the trainer/handler tomorrow for evaluation. Part of me is hoping she finds some minor flaw so Lucy does not have to be shown because she will then have to be bred if she does well. We are trying to inprove the line at the Kennel but she is still my little baby and I'd prefer her as a pet rather than a Champion. Anyhow, today she will get a bath and nail trim so we can face the music in the morning.

Sunny day this morning - for now, at least. Hershey and I will be doing our 2K walk this morning. I can sure do more but she is still dragging her fat and furry butt. If it doesn't rain, I'll work in another 2 K after lunch. I don't know if it makes me feel better physically but it sure gives me a mental boost as I pat myself on the back.

I may not be around a lot for a while. My friend Lisa had a hysterectomy yestertday and I will be helping her Mum and husband with kid and animal duties afternoons. Rob milks the one cow in the a.m. but I get the 4 p.m. duty! Thank God the beast is a gentle Jersey! They have a milking machine (for one cow!) so it won't be too hard on my arm and shoulder.

Physio yesterday went well BUT I did my regular PT exercises before I went and then HE (Personal Terrorist) made me do them again and THEN gave me a set or harder ones to do. So I had three sessions and am pretty sore from them. Next appointment is 8 a.m. so I'll skip the exercises! See, I am getting smarter as well as older!

Gotta get going. My farmer pal, Art, was here for breakfast so I am sort of off routine.

Have a great day!

Morning ladies,
Nice treat this morning. DH let me sleep in and took the kids to school. He knows how tough the visit from Dad and his lovely bride can be.
Today is lunch with the 93 year old granny, soon to be 94, and the good SIL. Tile man comes today and it looks like I may get to use my bathroom by mother’s day. I have a printing job to finish today and get out the door in the morning, a birth announcement for a friend of a friend.

Jiff, first off, I am proud of my family. The kids are the light of my life and mornings like this when DH does something nice, just to be nice, I feel like the luckiest woman (in Massachusetts anyway).
As for a celebration for 200 lbs lost? I think you should do something you have not been able to do for a long time. Maybe go to the city to take in a show you have wanted to see, walk the Guggenheim, Museum of Natural History, or any of the other things that have been out of reach for so long. You said yourself your walks have gotten longer, what a great way to enjoy your walk. You have done a remarkable job, this deserves and a treat that continues self improvement.

JD, I am not too far from you as I live on the north shore of Massachusetts.

Ruth I hope Lucy can stay a pet for you too, but if she does well and looks the part, you are doing great things for your bread and that is not a bad thing either.

OK off to print, cut and assemble, have a great day chickies!

Wow Jiff......words just can't express how utterly happy I am for you! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! You deserve an award....or a trip or something that you have always wanted!!!

I know if and when I get to a point like you have gotten to and feel as proud as you must I will go buy new clothes....I have the ugliest wardrobe in the world.

Leens congrats on the fast...I think...why did you fast? A cleansing thing or what? I will be fasting after midnight for my surgery in the morning and it will be punishing, I love to eat and I don't lose if I don't eat.

L I am happy for you that you got to sleep in this morning...it is amazing how much of a treat something like that is when you are used to 5-6 hours a night, which is all I ever get....I long for the days that I slept 10-12 hours.

Ruth you are a saint taking such good care of things for your friend who had surgery.

Well I am off to bed, I worked a night shift last night and sniffled and sneezed all night...I need sleep!

It is snowing this morning...I have accepted that spring is never coming to alberta canada!

Bye for now

Liz

Angry Beautiful morning to all!

Jiff~Congratulations! That is absolutely amazing! Celebration ideas? How about a day spa? Some pampering with a facial, massage, mani/pedicure and makeover. Next.....Glamour Shots! You and Peach could go together and record your beautiful selves.
And definately shopping! For something you'd love to wear and never thought you would, everything from sexy silky undies to a wonderful new outfit! Top it off with a dinner at a great restaurant! Or....how about a trip to Houston? Better yet, we could all meet in Atlanta and drag DebKay along!

Ruth~You're such a wonderful friend! I had to grin reading about Miss Lucy. It sounds like a mother getting ready to send their child to summer camp!

liz~good luck with your surgery tomorrow. Please let us know how it goes!

Leens~Patting you on the back! Good going on the fasting. I haven't done that for a lonnnnng time but usually feel good flushing out those toxins.

L ~ Aw, how sweet of DH! It's those kind acts that help us deal with their "manny" side!

jdoneil~I love all your celebration ideas! Especially the new spring wardrobe and cruise! Gee, wonder if my dh would go for it? wishful thinking.

DH pulled me out of the house (with shower water running and me half dressed) at 7:20 this morning to do typing. Gee, the joy of home based businesses! He did allow me time to put my clothes back on! Good thing as BIL showed up in the office at 7:30! Then off to pick up DD/GD/GS and make the school drop offs, snack stop and day care drop offs. Today will be strictly more paperwork. We've been preparing for a four year audit through the state. I've been frantic about it. Think they'll go for some of the records missing cause of the major flood we had last year? Fingers crossed!

Well, off to do ice house paperwork and another shot at taking my shower before dh finds another emergency typing job for me to do! Peeeuuuu if not! Maybe that's why sis wanted to work from home today!

Check in with ya'll later!

to all to come!

Good morning Lady-Bugs!!!

JD & L - we should consider a 'get together' sometime this summer after I get to Newport! I don't think I'll be very far from either of you.

L - Your family is absolutely gorgeous, as are you!

Jiff! OMG! What a fabulous report! 200lbs is most definitely a cause for celebration! That is so great!

Debkay, how was your day alone?

Ruth, your friends are truly blessed to have someone like you in their lives!

Liz, good luck with surgery!

The weekend was very nice. I spent it at my parents house with my long lost family from Nebraska. We went to the Oregon Coast on Sunday and the day was just beautiful. Of course, my dad got lost, but at we got to enjoy more of the scenery.

I have the cell phone woes! And, I've decided that I will NEVER have one again. I came home yesterday, checked the mail and opened the phone bill expecting it to be a couple hundred dollars (we are phone people). Oh Noooooooooo!!!!!!!! It was MUCH MUCH more than that (I'm too embarassed to tell you exactly how much, but lets just say that you could make a house payment or two with it.) We got these phones because there is no roaming or long distance -- thinking dh could call while he was in RI. Evidently RI is not in the 'call area' and we have been charged 50 cents a minute on every call he's made over the last 6 weeks!!!! And, when I tried calling the phone company (in tears mind you) they said they couldn't access my current phone bill because it hadn't been loaded in to their system yet and I would have to call back on Wednesday!

That's all today. I have more, but I don't need to sit here and complain about my life. Time to get up, work out and wait for the movers to come and do a 'pre packing inspection'.

Have a great day! See you later!

Ok, this bears repeating...WAY to go JIFF!! How wonderful you must feel, and yes, yes, you deserve to party!!! Celebrate, celebrate! Too bad we all don't live closer, I'd throw you a big one!!!
I vote for the spa and Glamour shots! In Nova Scotia we had the most beautiful spa, I treated myself every 10 lbs!! When I hit my 35 lb mark dd and I are going to go to Glamour shots! Got to get rid of the chin(s) first!!!

Ok, last day to complain.....I cleaned out dd room last night, moved her from the huge room with 2 walk-in closets and a master-suite bathroom of her own, into a basic room with one regular closet and sharing a bathroom with her baby brother. I think I felt worse then she did! Mean Mommy!! I guess it helps to have the inlaws coming, I never would have followed through with the threat of moving her out if we didn't need her room!
I know have to move all dh and my things upstairs and get my bathroom in order..hopefully they won't be here till late this afternoon!!
Have a great day you all!!
Not sure how often I'll be able to post with all my new DIL duties I'm taking on, but I'll check in as often as possible!!

Hey Chicks!

(I really wanted to say Hi Ninnies like Leens did the other day...that was fun!!!!)

Both boys are in school this week and I am enjoying the bit of breathing room! Took Mom to trader joe's today and ran some other errands. Food wise, I am back on track and doing well eating some cereal (kashi) or fruit before bed time...fiber is a nice thing!

Jo, I read your post on yesterday's daily. Wish I had some advice for you other than going to the dr.. but I just don't know!

L...loved the pics...nice family and YOU have a wonderful smile!

Debkay? Listen, buddy, I think you need to go get yourself some new undies! Seems to me that any day now that you are going to be sashaying across the room and you are going to drop your drawers!!!I would tell you to get new drawers, but losing the old ones is twice as fun! AND THAT GOES FOR YOU TOO JIFF!!!! How are my pants by the way? I betcha they are too big too!!! YIPPEEE!
feeling good? getting stronger?

Tippy, wish I could have given you some advice on your thread...but other than nuetral territory and offering you a hug I just could not come up with anything new!

NOW JIFF!

hows about....shots and beers? beers and shots?
or
take your sisters for facials?
or
take your sisters for massages?
or
take your sisters on a trip?
or
and this is my favorite (well, maybe) how 'bout clothes shopping with your sisters? We will meet why are you fasting Leens? New bras are in order and it would be an otherwise uplifting experience!

I do like the idea of Glamour shots in Hot 'lanta....I bet they have a boardwalk thing You and Debkay and I can all pile in! Bring your boa!

or...and this may really be my favorite...how 'bout a beach party? You rent the house, call the caterers and we all come and do shots and beers, beers and shots and give each other facials and take our own glamour shots with the disposable cameras that you supply?

your loving sister,
peach
ps, Jiff? I am so glad you do not want me to have a craft party....you are a peach and are doing GREAT! I am so proud of you!

Default Beach Party?????

I'm in !!!! Beers & shots (I'm assuming you're not talking Glamour shots here ) ! This chubby little Tx girl will help you celebrate after this audit! Let's party!

PS ~ Peach, remember I told you that you're rubbing off on me? I had bought my FIRST ever crafty stuff to paint and hang in the ice house, I figured if I did a bad job they'd be enjoying their beers too much to notice? Welllllllll, my girlfriend painted them for me! She's a craft master! Guess she thought even having a little buzz going wouldn't hide my lack of craftiness!

Default Shots & Beers

Hi

Peach you silly Ninny (ROFLMFFFFFAO), I'm fasting for a few reasons, yes one is uplifting (spritual) and two its good for the body to detox every now and then, but I'm going to try to make it a weekly habbit (not as in the flying nun)....haaaaaaaaaaaaaa TRY THAT IS

Hey, what kid of meat do priests eat on Fridays? Nun

Shots and Beers, Whooooooooa thats how I met my hubby.

I was sitting at a bar with my friends and he happened to be sitting in the bar stool next to me. The bartender had a severe limp. I had a beer (Mich Light) and I ordered a shot of Apple Schnaps, well the bartender waddled over and put it accidently infront of hubby. I wasn't paying attention because I was gabbing with my girl friends (not to be mistaken for my boobs) and when I turned to get my shot it wasn't there. So I asked hubby politely, ummmm excuse me is that yours He said Oh No.....we started chatting and well the rest is history...we've been married for 12 years now ROFLMFAO

Shots and Beers is a good thing

Heeeeeeeeeeheheheheheheheheheheh !!!!!!!

Ahh cha cha cha cha

Love, Leens

You gals and your Yankee's.
Years and years and years ago I worked in a little deli (boy did I get fat lol free food lol) anyway, I remember when the Yankee's lost the world series and who comes strolling in but Bucky Dent in a fur coat... I acted like I didn't know who he was because he was just so full of himself (but he was cute ) Also the manager use to show up in the local Dairy Queen in Wyckoff ... I think his name was Pete somethingorother. Don't ask me anything about them now the only TV I watch is Sesame Street.....Elmo's coming over for dinner tonight

My boss is back tomorrow, arent you all glad cause then I can't post much ROFLMFAO
