Smile Core Menu's- December

Wow I can't believe it's already December!

B- FF/SF chocolate pudding, green tea
S- WW bagel w/ 1tbsp PB (4)
L- apple sauce & diet coke w/ splenda
S- WW ice cream cup (2), strawberry fruities
D- chicken breast w/ bbq sauce, 1 cup spinach, water (2)

I worked out twice today so hopefully most of these points were burned off. I'm always extremely hungry between my snack after breakfast until right before I eat dinner and am always tempted to overeat... any suggestions?

Default Too Little Food.

Wow...how do you function with such little food?

I eat 6 times a day also, but much more than what you're eating. Maybe that is why you are stalling. I became lifetime on Flex then after wedding, house and baby...I'm back. I've lost 27lbs on Core which is a drop in the bucket compared to your success...so CONGRATS! You're inspiring!

Here is a sample of what I eat and still lose:
B - Cafe con Leche (expresso & fat free milk)
2 eggs with canadian bacon & scallions (omlette)

S - Cafe con Leche w/ Vitamuffin (2pt)

L - Soup (either split pea, favada or something with brown rice)

S - Thomas' sandwich thins, laughing cow cheese, grape tomatos on top salt & balsamic vinegar (2pts)

D - Some protein (steak, fish or chicken), starch (potato or rice which I have to count) & veggies (peas & carrots as an example); total for diner is about 2-3 pts)

S - Fat Free milk with Sugar Free cocoa, or edamame, or popcorn

I also try to workout 3 times a week. If I don't put fuel in my body, I never lose. My body just holds on for dear life and my weight just stands still.

My biggest challenge these days is simply to track. After 8+ months we get comfortable. I know I have to get that tracker out and write everything down.

Good luck!

Congrats on the 27 pounds! That's great Plus making lifetime, that's quite an achievement.

I always thought I was eating too much. I'm starting Flex tomorrow for a week or two. I'm hoping that will get me back on track. I never had this much trouble before, I don't know what the deal is. I know the less you weigh the less food you should consume. When you were on Flex what did you find worked best for you?

Hey there...maybe I typed faster than my brain!

I think you need to eat more food to keep losing. I'd starve on your daily menu. I hear rumblings that the Core plan may be changing and although I have the utmost faith in Weight Watchers...I'm really not into changing again.

I have a meeting on Friday, so hopefully we'll hear something by then.

You will feel so much better if you eat balanced meals for all 3 meals, and meet all your 8 GHG's. Every meal should have a lean protein and a whole grain. You can have something fun for a snack, if you feel confident that you have or will meet your 8 GHG's. I like to have 94% fat free popcorn or sugar free fat free pudding as a snack (never as a meal). Don't forget to take your multivitamin too because it seems like you are not eating enough to get your nutritional needs met.

You can certainly count up points for a menu just to check and see if you are sort of in the range of where you would be if you were on flex.

But on core, you are not worrying so much about points (for core foods) or portion sizes. You are learning to eat to satisfaction which means you are not too hungry or too full. You just feel comfortable and satisfied with what you ate.

p.s. don't forget your 2 servings of fat free dairy! I prefer skim milk! I often get my dairy through the sf/ff pudding or a milkshake I make in my blender. And never forget that you can NEVER eat too many nonstarchy veggies! You can bulk up your meals by adding in more nonstarchy veggies. I eat a couple cups at a meal, sometimes!

Thank you for your input, thesusanone! I'm going back on Core starting Friday and I will follow your advice. Do you use/count your AP's? And how many of your WPA's do you use? I'm going to try to switch up my WPA's on core... I think one day I'll use 10, then the next two days I won't use any, then maybe again 10 and so on so I can shock my system. If that doesn't help take the weight off I don't know what will

My first day of core! I am going to try tracking my foods at least in the beginning, and this is a great place to track it. So, I'll add as I eat through the day.

B: 1/2 grapefruit, 1 vege sausage crumbled in an egg beater cup + 1 vege sausage on side, white tea
Sn: string cheese, 1/2 grapefruit
L: black bean soup, carrots/celery
D: brown rice with edamame & soy sauce, grilled asparagus
Then I fell apart last night: pecan pie & chips *sigh*

Took a Karate class also (50 minutes)
