As our troubled economy tightens it's belt I was wondering if we will get back to the way things were done in the "old" days.... trading things sometimes instead of paying for services.

Because we here at 3FC are very progressive and way ahead of all the other sites I thought it would be cool to get a jump on what we all can do for each other when we have no more $$$$
Keeping in mind we will all need necessities and entertainment in the tough times ahead!

I need laser treatments and can offer house cleaning, babysitting, errand running and the like. I am also an AWESOME event planner, decorator and writer. My professional background is in Education. I am well qualified to offer my services as a consultant or tutor. I am in the Dallas area. I am ALL about barter!

Well, Gary, we got the dry walling done. Pity, you missed the rare opportunity for beef. We had prime rib. That's probably the last beef I'll have for the rest of the year.
I can give you a place in the mountains where nobody will find you, yet you will be within 10 minutes of a neat little general store. Unfortunately, there is no water on the property, so no fishing.

My son needs some additional music lessons from Junebug. In exchange, I can do computer repair (hardware or software) or networking. On the domestic side, I can do housecleaning, cooking or ironing.
I can organize, clean, write your letters, reports, papers, officework- heck, I can do your taxes, budget your life, teach you french or italian, or help your kids with their homework.
Now, who will rub my feet? Clean out my hamster cage?
