Question Longhorn Steakhouse

We are going to Longhorn Steakhouse tonight for supper. I went to the different websites that give me nutrition counts, and I found the Rice, and Steamed Veggies, but I will also be having 12 grilled shrimp with NO seasonings. What do you think the calories will be for 12 grilled shrimp?
Also why would the steamed veggies have 5 grams of fat if I get them plain with no butter?
Thanks so much!!!

According to the Daily Plate

Grilled Shrimp are a pretty good choice!
Keep in mind - there will probably be added oil so you should always round up if you didn't cook it yourself. Even steamed veggies have oil added at restaurants...but you can ask for them plain. Just know they may not REALLY be PLAIN. Enjoy your meal!

And for researching ahead!!! You won't be going in blind and that's a really good thing.

Thanks Gina!!

I ate all my shrimp, but only about 1/4 of my rice and veggies, because I ended up giving into the whole grain loaf of bread At least it was whole grains and not a white roll.
The shrimp were the BEST, even without the seasoning and butter!!
If anyone has a Longhorns, you should give the shrimp a try!!
Thanks
Cathy

I know it's too late for you, but for others...

My husband used to work at a Lone Star (similar menu and cooking style). These places ALL put slatherings of butter on their grilled meat - they literally get a huge brush full of melted butter that they keep beside the grill and swipe down each side of the steak/fish/chicken as it goes on the plate. And like Gina said, they put oil or butter on all their veges.

They will cook food without it, but you have to ask for it.
