Default 41 pounds in 2008, 16 gone since my plateau!

Yay! I've checked two mornings in a row to make sure it wasn't a fluke- but I am finally under the 180 mark! I've lost 16 pounds since I joined a gym three months ago to try and bust through a plateau. The "bulk" of these 16 (if you'll pardon the expression) came off after I started lifting weights eight weeks ago.

Another accomplishment for me that's perhaps less tangible, is that for the first time I feel like I really got my money's worth in a gym membership. I don't dread going, and even on the days that I'm tired I usually feel so much better when I'm through. I just re-upped for six months and am currently working out reasonable goals for the tape measure, scale and my endurance!

My next big marker will be Feb 20th, when my boyfriend's family is flying us to Hawaii...I'm hoping to be able to keep up with him hiking and feel semi-comfortable in my miraclesuit!

And thanks for sharing! There can never be too many plateau-busting stories

Thanks! The plateau is one of the reasons I decided to post, because I was VERY frustrated three months ago when I couldn't bust through it! I know I'll hit another one along the way, if not more, but seeing the changes with the strength training in the mirror is really helping me to stay motivated!
