Red face Exercise??

Hey! I started WW three weeks ago, but I'm new to 3FC. This looks like a great support group for my WW home journey.

Here's my question....What are y'all doing for exercise? How often?
I've been doing the C25K program, but it is only 3 days a week. Should I be doing something daily?

Thanks!! I need all the advice I can get!

well i haven't been doing anything lately...but i think from everything i've heard 3 is the minimum and depends how long you exercise...anything beyond is a bonus

There's a great exercise forum here ... check it out for lots of ideas on what you can do.

I belong to a gym and I personally go 4x-5x a week. 3x per week I lift weights followed by cardio, and 2x a week I do high intensity cardio.

The rest of the time I try to get in some movement and stretching as best I can. This past weekend, housework (heavy moving and lifting and "fall" cleaning) counted for a lot of my exercise - and I have the sore muscles to prove it!

I do 90 minuts of cardio 6 days a week and lift weights three days a week. I didn't start out with that much, I only did 30 minutes of cardio 5 days a week and it has taken on a life of its own since then.

like previously said, 3x's a week is kind of a minimum, but if you are seeing results then it's working for you, also if you are new to exercise you should ease into it a bit. i personally do a walk away the pounds walk/jog video every morning (mon-sat) and then do tae-bo in the evenings as often as i can (usually ends up being about 3x's/week). i have found that the more i exercise the better i feel. that's what works for me and i have off weeks where i might not get in that much, but i try to for my own well-being.

Well, I was working out 7 days a week but with my new school schedule I am only working out 6 days a week. I do 30 minutes on my elliptical trainer along with 200 crunches per night and 10-15 minutes of weight training. I won't lie though.. lately I have been slacking because I'm getting used to my schedule and I feel awful about it. I've been doing only 20 minutes on my elliptical and hardly any weight training or crunches. I still am, for whatever reason, losing weight though so I can't complain but I don't want to get comfortable with letting myself down and doing less!

Thanks so much everyone for your responses!!! Everyone has some really good input!

Me4life: Thanks! I thought that 3 days were the minimum--thanks for the conformation! That helps to know I'm at least doing "enough."
Photochick: Your routine sounds good! I'll check out the exercise forum. Thank you for that tip!
Skullarix: WOW! You're doing a great job of working hard!! I hope to be able to work up to something like that!
Jmb1981: Thanks! Working out makes me feel so much better too!! I am trying to ease into it, but now want to try to step it up a bit.
Alligatorskin: WOW! Super workout routine! It's really hard for me to fit my workouts in too with my two kiddos.

THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR RESPONSES!! THEY ARE VERY HELPFUL!!!

I just do 10 mins of walkin in the morning 300 crunches and 10 mins of squats with dumbells and 10 push ups. All after I eat lunch. For a month I did the 30 day shred. I let my friend borrow the dvd cuz she wants to try it. I lost 4 lbs and 11.5 inches with that dvd. I did HHA's but now I want to do my own thing. I'm still tryin to eat healthy and I now don't eat pass 7 pm instead of 8 pm. I have to take painkillers and antibiotics for my teeth cuz I have to cavities and I need to get them pulled so its hard to not just eat whatever I want. Since I've started WW I'm lost 19 lbs. I'm gonna get another dvd soon another Jillian Michaels workout I think she is great and it keeps me really motivated. I workout everyother day.
