Isn't such a big accomplishment anymore when the 12's are getting tight. I have made excuse after excuse for myself ever since my gall bladder surgery in the beginning of August. That is also when I got my new job. The sit down office job that scared me because I fear gaining the weight back. And that is just what I'm doing. I've turned my head at my scale. Yeah, me who weighs at least 4 times a day when losing. That's probably the first sign of gaining huh. And now nothing that I bought a few months back is comfy anymore. NOTHING. And I sold all my "fat" clothes thank God so I can't just slowly go back to them. This is the day that I have to change. I can't look like I sqeezed myself into my clothes everyday and be scared that they may pop anytime. I need to not leave here. I stay so accountable when I'm here. Then I get off plan (this is the 4th time since I joined) and I avoid it altogether. Please help me. Even though I have done this and can do this I need to be reminded how.
I'm proud of you, Lynsey. It can be easy to ignore small gains and bury our heads in the sand......facing small gains is such an important step to prevent them from turning into big gains. You know what to do---back to basics. Those 12s will be loose on you before you know it!
First, congratulations for how far you've come. I know sometimes its easy to lose weight and then gain a little back and forget how awesome you are! Don't beat yourself up, we all slip, we're human. You can get back up! I know you can. Posting here really helps me, so maybe not posting enough is something you can change Also keeping a food journal is great help!
Lynsey! OK, you've let things drift, but now you're going to turn that around! Please keep coming back to 3FC often and checking in--we'll help you to stay on track!
Lynsey, did you have your gallbladder removed? If so, I can 100% sympathize with what you're going through. I had lost 30 pounds, then put 20 of it back on after I had my GB removed.
In any event, you're back at 3FC, and tight pants are easily remedied! Just stay on track and they'll fit perfectly before you know it.
You can do this...one of the challenges we all face is that this isn't a "project" with a start and an end, it is a lifelong commitment.
Everyone has hard times, the folks who succeed keep climbing back onto that horse.
You've taken the first huge step by losing and again by watching what is happening. Now...hang out here and go back to what works! You know you can do it...and so do we.
You caught yourself before it got out of hand, and you should be commended for that.
No one is 100% perfect through this journey; as many before me have said, whether you are 100% on plan is not nearly as important as whether you are able to continue. You've already lost the weight equivelant to a small child, afterall. You know what you need to do and you know you can do it!
