Default Trying to regain my focus!? Help!!

OK so I have been working the plan since January and up until 3 weeks ago I had lost 35 pounds and was only 15 pounds from goal that my doctor had set for me. Just over 2 weeks ago I got a call at work from my mom telling me that my dad was in the hospital and was asking for me and my brother to come home. My parents live in Kansas and I live in Texas. So I got there the next morning just in time to talk to my dad for a few minutes before he was placed on a ventilater. I spent the following week at the hospital sitting at my dads bedside with my mom and brother. When he came off the ventilater he lasted 3 days. So I spent all the next week at my moms for my dads funeral. I am now back in Texas and have been for 5 days but I am finding it very difficult to get back on plan! In those 2 weeks I gained 5 pounds! I just can not seem to get back on track and the more I fail the more frustrated and depressed I become!

Firstly, I'm very sorry for your loss.

I can't even imagine what your going through, led alone trying to lose weight on top of it.
Just try getting back into it slowly. That's all I can think of.

Just plan for today. When you are done with today, plan what you are going to do tomorrow - food and exercise. That helps me keep going.

Very sorry about your Dad. I very much dread when I have to deal with the loss of a parent.

Don't beat yourself up. You've done a great job and sometimes you have to deal with life before weight loss.

Life happens, and that's normal. You gained 5 pounds, and that's ok. It will probably come off pretty quickly if you choose to get back to your plan. You can do it.
