Just had to get this started to beat Cottage! At least I will have accomplished one hump today!

------------------------- merged ---------------------------------------

Tee-hee! Does anyone say that anymore? I have an older friend who says "toodle-oo" and another who says "Yoo hoo". It could just be a Delta thing like "How are you now?" when you meet someone you met five minutes before.

Lots on my "plate" this morning including making a bunch of devilled eggs to take to our TD dinner at noon for the clients at the Clinic. They'll want to feed Disney so I'll make a non-devilled one for her. This afternoon I'll do some quilting and work in a Harry visit. I also need to decide what clothes to take to Synod. I am NOT looking forward to 48 hours of meetings!

How do your Humps look this fine Wednesday?

Heading off to work this morning. I guess I can't complain. Working three days a week is much better than working five, right?
That's about all for me. Work days take up ALL day.

OK, I conceded to you this morning, Ruth! I got busy starting up Jake's supper for tonight and emptying the dishwasher, anyway.

I've not heard "tee-hee" around here, but we say "toodles" a lot. It's fun to hear of different expressions in different parts of the country.

I'm gearing up for a busy day. I was a little dizzy when I first got out of bed, so I'm going to cancel Curves this morning. It must be just an age-related thing! Cindy wants me to run some errands before Maggie gets home from school, and we have a playdate scheduled and then there's gymnastics. We started on our Halloween decorations for the playroom yesterday, but we still have to make that run to the craft store for more supplies.

That Pumpkin Black Bean Soup is divine! I took some for my lunch yesterday, and had to fight Maggie for it! I'm looking forward to more for lunch today.

Good morning

Ruth- I'm kinda partial to tee-hee myself. Isn't it nice to start the day with one hump conquered?!

Cottage - Ugh, I hate dizzy. Don't know why but I think it must be an age thing because i have moments too. This aging thing can be annoying even if you approach it with a good attitude (I got a tattoo for my 40th, scoffed at age and it still bit me). That soup sounds yummy, will have to check it out.

I'm trying a black bean tomatillo soup in the crockpot today. The rest of the tomatillos are off to the dehydrator.

It's a work at home day but I might drive my friend to her doctor's appt. if she needs a ride. If I do that I'll take half a day off, if not I'll be at the computer creating a newsletter all day. Either way working at home beats the office any day!

Have a good day Chicks

Ruth, I thought tee hee was a giggle? I do have an older friend that says "toodleoo"... Have fun at TD ... I boiled eggs yesterday and put one in my salad, had bad diarrhea last night, I think it was the egg. I'll have to throw them out.

ohana

Cottage, make sure that light headedness isn't serious!

Cyndi, have fun working at home!

Me: I may have to start work tomorrow. it's a temporary position for a company that let things get too far behind that they can't get caught up. I'll know today.

Scale went down from 177.5 to 177, I'll wait one more day to move ticker though .

Jade was so tired from our walk in the park yesterday she didn't ask to play fetch last night. She did have to go potty, but other than that, she slept!

Speaking of dogs.... yoo hoo, Nessa sweetie.... where are you? Did your newfie arrive safely?

Have a great day all.

Well, CONGRATULATIONS, NESSA! I'm glad Harley made it there safely! Poor guy has been through a lot the past couple of days and is probably scared and confused right now. I'm sure that with all the love and care that you're bestowing on him, he's going to be one happy pup very soon!

OHANA, how long is your work day? I hope it goes quickly for you!

CYNDI, lucky you, getting to WFH today! I hope your friend is feeling better, that must have been a scary trip to the DR yesterday!

LORIANN, it's funny that you wore out Jade! Usually, it's the other way around! Are you looking forward to going back to work?

Poor guy isn't sure of what to make of all the changes he's endured the past couple days! But I'm sure he'll come around and soon love his new home!

Cottage, I'd be excited if it were a permanent position, but it will give me a change and something to do, people to talk with! Of course lots of things going through my mind like.... How will I get my car fixed when the tail light comes in? (their schedule is during days only). Ah well, one day at a time. NOt even sure if I will be getting it yet.

I say toodleoo, too. It's something my parents always said. And I've noticed that even though for 28 years it was never part of my vocabulary, I now call Little Guy a "turkey." My parents would say that to me all the time when I did something clumsy, silly, whatever. "You turkey!"

Still waiting to hear about the jobby job. Yesterday was the last day of interviews. They said they'd either get back to me late this week or early next week. I get a phone call if I get it and an email if I don't. Have I mentioned that I reaaaaaaallllly want it? I'm trying to think positively and know that what God wants for me is best, but I find myself swaying over to the negative side, since I know that like 90+ people were in face-to-face interviews for this 1 position. So, I'm also praying to stay positive.

I am always running late! Over the last 3 weeks while Little Guy has been gone, we've been sleeping in later, so I don't have enough time to post or do personals. Hope everyone has a great day!

Morning Ladies. Just another typical day here, supposed to rain later and cool things off, I think we may have seen the last of the 80's for awhile.

Nessa congrats on the new addition!

Loriann hope you get the job even if it is only temp!

Hope all is going well with zeff. Lisa hope you hear something on the job soon.

I had kind of given up on moving because the guy really hasn't been doing the work that needs done to it. We got a call lastnight that it will be ready on Nov 1st. I am not holding my breath as I drive by it everyday and half of the roof has been tarped for 3 weeks now, but we shall see.

Have a great day chicks.

'Mornin, all! Ruth, I say "tee-hee" sometimes. I don't know many who do, though one friend says, "hee-hee" to funny things. What's with the 48 hours thing? Are you staying over? Re: eggs and dogs, my H.S. boyfriend had this huge darling dog who loved to carry hard-boiled eggs in his mouth (they found this out one Easter). He carried them so tenderly they never cracked. It was so cute!

Naomi! Great to see you join in the daily.

So glad you like the pumpkin black bean soup, Cottage! It's a favorite around here, too. Isn't it fun to enjoy something that's good for you? Hope the dizziness goes away!

Ooh, Cyndi, post the recipe if you like the soup, okay? What kind of tattoo did you get? I think it's great to approach age with lots of vim!

Loriann, isn't it sweet when our pups are worn out? That's a good thing for them (and us, since it means no misbehaving!). Good luck with the job. I love temping--it's such a great way to learn whether you like a place before you take a job there. I've always looked for temp-to-perm work and have been offered perm jobs many times, even when I didn't want one. Hope it turns into something more permanent!

Oh, Harley is SO cute! Hope you get acquainted very soon. Bless you for giving him time to get used to you.

Phx, I agree about Harley looking big, soft, and lovable. Makes me want to hug my puppy!

Me:
Well, I totally forgot about putting stuff in the crockpot last night, so tonight's chicken barley soup is being moved to tomorrow night. Oh well, I'm SOOOO tired from the weekend, still, so I cancelled my meeting last night. I worked for a long time on a bean soup that used dried beans, but it was worth it--tasted SO good. I posted it on the recipe board here. Warning--it does use 4 T of butter, but it makes a huge pot and has no other fats (it's a Cooking Light recipe) so I think that's fine.

Went to the gym yesterday but later on, when I had to go to a friend's house to catsit, I decided to bike over. Saved gas and it was so much fun! What a glorious day to bike--the weather was so warm and the leaves were so bright and amazing. I wish I'd gone further, but I had to get home and get stuff done. I may play hooky from the gym after work today and go for a bike ride instead if it's as nice today. I attached two photos from our retreat this weekend. One is of Canandaigua lake on our way home with all the Fall colors. The camera doesn't capture their full glory...they're SO bright!

to everyone who posted while I was writing this tome and everyone who comes after. Have a glorious Fall day!
